Buttons, Burlap, And Pink...Oh My!!!

Linda Coughlin of the Funkie Junkie, is hosting again this week at Our Creative Corner, and she wants to see "Buttons, Burlap and/or Bows".  It's fairly simple this week, use buttons and then either burlap or bows, but if you need a little help jump starting your creativity, please visit the other members of the Design Team.

I wanted to mimic the flower garland the ladies are holding and wearing for this tag. This picture makes the background look salmon colored, but it is really very pink and matches the flowers very closely. And, since pink is the dominant color, I am submitting this to the Sunday Stamper's challenge of "Pink".

I inked the tag with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

I applied Spun Sugar Distress Stain and some water onto my craft mat. I then laid my tag into the liquid, picking it up and relaying again until all was covered. I dried it completely with a heat tool.

I stamped script image onto the tag randomly with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

I used a Snow Cap Acrylic Paint Dabber to define the edges of the tag, as well as the ridges of some corrugated cardboard die cuts.

Natural and green dyed burlap were adhered to the center part of the tag.

I wrapped burlap strings around buttons, and secured them to inked flowers of silk and burlap. Leaf ribbon and the picture were added, as well as a few embellies.
