Happy Saturday! First...I just want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes...you all are wonderful! So here's another challenge to get your crafty fortnight going in the new
Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! We loved all the Smudge Stamping last time...great technique I think. Thank you for inspiring us, and for all the wonderful comments!
The Curiosity Crew and I always love all of the entries!
This new challenge, number twenty-seven is using the
Embossing Diffusers. These are a super cool product to use in virtually any embossing and make people take notice, wondering how you did that.
Please play along so you can win some fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous
Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor,
Inspiration Emporium!!! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can read all the rules
here. Please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some gorgeous embossing inspiration, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
With graduations going on across the globe, and my own son's approaching fast...yes, tears of sadness...I thought I would make a graduation card for him...sniffle!

I love this older stamp set, and the bird cage happens to fit perfectly inside the Arched Embossing Diffuser! I stamped the cage on manila cardstock from Ranger using Jet Black Archival. |
|
I inked around the cage using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. |
|
I followed Tim's instructions for using the Embossing Diffuser, and then I inked over the raised images. I also watercolored around the arch, and trace over it with a Fude Ball Pen. |
|
I added Tissue Tape to my craft sheet and inked over it with Gathered Twigs. Then I added it to the card. |
|
I stamped the bird onto Watercolor Paper with Jet Black. I also die cut the cap and diploma from Impression Obsession. I believe this is a brand new die. It fits perfectly on the birds. |
|
I watercolored the bird in with Distress Markers and a Watercolor Brush, then I added the cap and diploma on him. I added a little doodling as well. He is adorable!!! |
|
I used the Alpha Part numbers from the Ransom set and painted them with Salty Ocean Distress Paint. I also stamped my sentiments on manila and inked them with Gathered Twigs. |
|
I thought the card needed more, so the Distress Marker Spritzer did the trick! |
Again...I can't get enough of the Bird Crazy birdies! I love them, and think you can add them to almost anything! I can tell from so many projects in cyber world, that you all agree with me. Well...until next time, and I sure hope you play along with this challenge!!!
