Hi everyone! Sorry it's been awhile. I've been so busy getting ready for a big event and classes that I've barely had time to do anything else. I finally made some time though this week to make these cards for some family and friends that we won't see this year for Thanksgiving. I had been painting on canvas, and decided to throw some paint on paper to make these, and I had such fun doing that as it's rare that I use paints on a card. Anyway, I wish my American friends and those that celebrate this Thursday as Thanksgiving, a wonderful and blessed day with fabulous food, and I am truly thankful for all of you that follow along with my goings on. My cup always runneth over!

The pictures do not do these cards justice...they really are stunning. I made 8 in total. |

Using the numbered game sheet piece from Tim Holtz's Materialize Paper Stash, I filled in the columns with stripes of Distress Paint from Tim and Ranger...lots of Distress Paint, one color at a time randomly, using a small paintbrush. |

I die cut the painted sheets with the Branched Birch, Tangled Twigs, and Skeleton Leaves Thinlets from Tim and Sizzix, and then again with Tim's Gold Metallic Cardstock to layer the painted pieces on. Then I matted and sewed around the Birch Trees. The caption was made from an old Dymo, and I added brown velvet ribbon and gold lacey ribbon. I switched background cardstock colors as well, just to see what looked best, and I liked these two the best. |
Thanks for stopping by today, and again, a very happy Thanksgiving to all.
I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
