You're A Good Egg Birthday Cards

Hello AND Happy New Year Everyone!!! I have not been here in so so long, and it's really dusty in here. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season. Tim Holtz just launched a new release with Sizzix last week where he is bringing back some of the older dies that have been retired but in new sizes, and they are called The Vault Series. He is doing this for the whole year, so if there are dies that you have missed out on in previous years, hopefully the ones you want will be included in this series with just a small size change. It's such a fabulous idea! I have used several of the new sets on these four birthday cards, along with lots of Idea-ology. Enjoy!

Using older papers from Idea-ology, I die cut the rosettes from the The Vault Rosettes Thinlits (3 for each rosette), the seal, and the star, inked all the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink from Ranger, and then assembled them with two sided tape and Collage Medium.

Using The Vault Bunny + Chick Thinlits, I die cut all the eggs from Manila and Ivory Heavystock, the legs (4 for each) from Kraft, the glasses and face parts from Black, the bows and hats from Christmas Stash, and the balloons from Metallic and Classic Kraftstock. I inked everything with Gathered Twigs. NOTE: For the face I cut off the left side of the that upside down 'T' to make it look like a nose, and for the hat I used one of the triangles from the banner. On the balloon, I used the small highlight in heavystock from the egg and put it in place on the balloon to look like a highlight mark. For the inside of the glasses, I used clear cellophane from a package. The ribbon on the balloon is just silver metallic thread.

I die cut the letters from The Vault Hippity Hop in black with two sided tape on the back and adhered them to the rosettes adding a little Collage Medium for extra security. Using the Mini File Folders, all inked with Vintage Photo Archival, I adhered the letters to the tabs as well.

Taking lots of ephemera and even papers from the Correspondence Paper Stash, I collage all the inked with Vintage Photo pieces to each File Folder. Then I added the die cuts to finish the cards.
