Rusty Cracked Pistachio Butterfly Tag

Hi there everyone! I hope your Easter was lovely. Ours was wonderful spent with family and new friends. I remembered (After some prompting!) the other day, that I teased those of you a while back who follow my Face Book Page, with a tag I made using Ranger's Tim Holtz new January Distress color Cracked Pistachio, and I never showed you the finished tag! Sorry, but here it is now.

I misted the tag with both Tea Dye and Cracked Pistachio Distress Spray Stain. I LOVE this combination and use it a lot. After drying, I inked over the whole tag with Walnut Stain just to see if I liked it, and I did. It made the Cracked Pistachio a darker green tone that I liked. While still wet, I poured Rust Antiquities Embossing Powder over the whole thing, and used my finger to wipe away where I didn't want it. I used the heat tool to melt it, and LOVED how it was turning out. I sewed around the edges, adhered it to some black cardstock, then and stamped the numbers from the new Perspective Stamp Set from Tim and Stamper's Anonymous, using Glacier White Pigment Ink. Then, I misted a piece of Specialty Stamping Paper with Cracked Pistachio, dried it, and then stamped the butterfly in Jet Black Archival. I poured Clear Embossing Powder and a little of the Rust Antiquities on this as well. Once melted and cooled, I used a white gel pen to outline some of the spots on the butterfly. I also misted some Crinkle Ribbon with the Cracked Pistachio. Then I added some metal adornments to finish the tag off.

Again, sorry for not showing you the finished tag, and thanks for the couple of emails asking me about it. Please keep me on my toes...I need it! Hope you all have an awesome day!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
