It's time for another Friday Focus at Frilly & Funkie, and I am presenting it to you, but a little differently. Okay....a lot differently...via video! It's my very first, so please bear with me, and let me tell you that it was no easy feat, hence the lack of blog posts this week. It's quite lengthy at just over 15 minutes, but I am showing you five techniques using Dyan Reaveley's Dylusion Ink Sprays, so grab a cookie and sip some tea. ***Note to self: Unplug the phone when you are videoing a craft technique!!!
The finished Art Journal cover after some more stamping, stenciling, and doodling.
These are the two tags I finished that I sopped up all the ink with. They are perfect to tie onto a birthday present.
Thank you so much for all the comments and for following me...truly!!! I try to reply back to every one, but some of you don't allow access to your email, but please know I am SOOOO appreciative!!! I do hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
I am not used to see you making art in this technique, but I LOVE it! Video is super, everything what we need is in it!! I hope you will do some more! Hugs
Where to start?! It's so nice to put a voice to the face! I'm so glad you are embracing your Dylusional side! Now I wanna see some of the ladies! I actually learned a few things from you, so I'm glad you did the video. I didn't think I *needed* the black spray ink, but now I do!! Please don't make this your last video. And I was more surprised with the Christmas music towards the end than the ringing of the phone!!
Wonderful video. Thanks so much for all of the time and energy you put into it. Being a visual learner, it really helps to see the techniques and your creative process. I'd love to see more :)
Wow Anita, not only did you make an awesome video, but you included so many techniques too! I found them all useful and the 'bleach' technique is almost magical, it's so effective. You have a beautiful voice, I would love a video on how you make the backgrounds for your tags using distress inks. No one does backgrounds as well as you!!
Anita! You did a GREAT job on that video, I can't believe it was your first one. I loved the bleach technique, that is amazing. Just out of curiosity....what type of white pen do you use? I find that the Dylusion sprays bleed through my white pen work so it ends up being anything but white. I will be looking forward to any future videos/tutorials that you do. Thanks.
Hi Anita. This is fantastic as I have some of Dyan's sprays and stencils and I can now make use of them. Your journalling page is great and I love the tags. The colours are so vibrant..........brilliant !!
Wow! That page turned out amazing! I really love it! I just got me some of those sprays! Can't wait to play with them now, Thank you for doing this video!
