Stamper's Anonymous Christmas 2020 - Vintage Holidays Santa Card

Happy November everyone! Here is another Christmas card using new stamps from Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous, the Vintage Holidays set...a set that epitomizes a retro vintage Christmas feel. AND...the best part about this set is that you can create your own ephemera for endless collaged layers in whatever color you choose. I totally had fun making this card, and love how it came out. Enjoy!

Using the stamp platform stamp all ephemera pieces (not Santa, the sentiment, or the snowflakes) in Archival Ink...Faded Jeans, Red Geranium, Black Soot, onto either Heavystock, Kraft, or green cardstock. Cut out and ink edges in Gathered Twigs Distress. Set aside.

Stamp Santa in Black Soot onto Kraft Cardstock. Stamp Sentiment in Black Soot onto Kraft, and heat emboss with clear powder. Cut these out and ink edges in Gathered Twigs. Color in Santa with Distress Crayons and detail water brush. Color the borders of the sentiment with Tarnished Brass Crayon as well as Santa's buckle. Use Dark Gray Pitt Pens to outline areas on Santa. Use White Pitt Pen to completely fill in fur on Santa's clothes with tiny dots until covered to give a texture look. Use a white pen to give depth to letters in sentiment. Add foam tape to Santa and two sided tape to sentiment. Adhere Santa's feet to sentiment using Collage Medium. Set aside.

Cut Kraft Cardstock card to 5 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches. Ink the edges in Gathered Twigs. Using a stamping block and snowflakes, stamp randomly all over kraft using Picket Fence Distress Ink. Dry with a heat tool.

Using Collage Medium adhere ephemera pieces to kraft card around the borders of the card, but leave a 1/2 inch along the bottom right side for the belt.

Cut 8 inches of velvet ribbon. Cut one inch off and adhere to buckle base using two sided tape and collage medium. Punch hole for the brad, and insert brad. Add two sided tape to the back. Punch a hole 1 1/2 inches in on the remaining ribbon, and insert eyelet. Set eyelet with Crop-o-dile. Insert ribbon into buckle pulling tight, and trim end into a pointer shape. Add two sided tape to back, and adhere belt to card above the bottom two pieces of ephemera. Trim edges of ribbon off of card. Secure game spinner to card using the brad and Collage Medium. Stitch around card in white thread. Distress edges. Cut black cardstock to 5 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches. Attach kraft card to black cardstock, and then to red card base which is 5 1/2 x 7 inches. Adhere Santa and sentiment to card.
