Paintbrushes...Not Just For Painting! (Part 1)

Warning: New Addiction Alert! I'm participating in an Altered Paintbrush Swap, and this crazy winged and geared girl will now belong to Gloria Alexander, who should receive her today. Lots of Wendy's Art Parts and Tim's Idea-ology helped me put her together.
Trouble is, now I want to alter all the tools in the garage!!! Even screwdrivers are really turning my creative juices on! Yikes!!! We use these tools everyday to make and alter things, but now we can use the tool itself as the project. It's opened up a whole new genre of Art for me. When you Google paintbrush art, all sorts of things pop up of people making Art out of common tools, and have been for years.  Aside from painted saw blades, I never knew or even thought about altering tools. The world of Craft Blogging has really OPENED up my eyes to the world of Art. There are so many talented and creative people out there...inspiration abounds!
Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow, when I show you the Paintbrush Art Girl I made for myself.

  3. I have seen a number of these - wasn't sure at first but loved Marjie's one. Now this one: totally amazing and I have to say that THIS one would certainly have to be my #1. I'm amazed at all the elements you have used AND the manner in which they've been put together. She is fabulous.

This is just amazing, love your use of art parts and my favourite bit is the heart with the lock on it. Love the face with the mask, in fact, I just love it all! Brilliant. Crafty hugs, Anne x

  20. Hello Anita
You continue to extend yourself to areas that I would not dare to dream about. This piece of Art work is very Avant-garde; most would say unorthodox, but whatever the term you want to label it with the bottom line is that it is an exceptional piece of work, well done it looks amazing.
    Smiles:)
