All A Flutter!

Irena "Rudlis" Kowalczyk, of Love Life and Crafts is the hostess again this week at Our Creative Corner. Her challenge is based on this  inspiration photo of  "Butterflies". Make a project, card, or tag inspired by the photo. Then tell why you love butterflies, if you do.
If you need inspiration, you will find no shortage on the blogs of all the Design Team at OCC.

I do like butterflies! Their bright colors and fluttery way of flying make them fun. Plus, their presence means it's warm outside...yeah for Spring!
I decided to make this project a combination of several things I wanted and needed to accomplish. I wanted to participate in this month's Creative Block - Stamper's Anonymous Yahoo Group ATC swap for something grungy, and I needed to do a step by step on an Alcohol Ink Masterboard for Frilly & Funkie, and then there were the butterflies. So I made this card and 11 other projects from a Masterboard. You can see all the details and other projects at Frilly & Funkie's Saturday Step By Step.
I did not add a sentiment on this card yet, because I am not quite sure what I am going to use it for.
Supplies:
From My Stash: scrap backing from Wonder Tape (butterflies), black cardstock
32 Degrees North: Dresden Gold Lace Trim
Close To My Heart: wooden buttons

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

  5. OMG.... Look at that amazing Bg, I have to give this a try Anita, I am so impressed-I do enjoy making my own Bg as you know.
Your Bg has a dramatic, ghostly and mysterious feel, stamping your butterflies in Black has caused this effect and making all your other colours look bright and POP. The card also has an earthy feel due to your choice of Brown tones; which is warm and wholesome, a unique and contradictory palette, which works extremely well and gives a positive response to any person who views it.
I have to add here, that I enjoyed your step by step tutorial on the Bg, very easy to follow and wonderful results.
    Smiles:)
