Stamper's Anonymous Christmas 2021 - Cozy Christmas with Candle Card

Hi everyone! Today, I have a Christmas card made with the new Cozy Christmas Stamp Set from Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous. I LOVE how this card turned out as I wasn't sure, but the Stripes Shifter Stencil in the background really transformed it for me. Enjoy!

Cut White Heavystock to 3.75 x 8.5 inches, and a kraft card base folded to 4.25 x 9 inches, and set the base card aside. Stamp the two focal images from Cozy Christmas on each side of the Heavystock (Santa on the left and snowman on the right) using a stamp platform and Black Soot Archival. Use sticky note to mask off the lower portion of the snowman image and stamp another pine branch in the lower corner for a little more cohesiveness on the tablescape arrangement. The pic shows another stamped piece that I was going to use for cutting out but I decided against that, so disregard the extra.

Figure out where you want the table's edge around the middle of the card, and lay the thinnest Stripes Shifter Layering Stencil over the card. Place it so the stencils stripes cover most of Santa's hat to make stenciling a little easier, and then mask the Santa with a little sticky note. Ink in the stripes with Barn Door Archival Ink and an Ink Blending Tool. Slide the stencil over and repeat until the top area is covered with stripes. I did not use the stencil as a Shifter as I wanted the white area, but feel free to do so.

Color in the images with Distress Crayons and a Detail Water Brush, using the silicon mat as your palette, working lighter and then drying and adding more color to the shaded areas for depth.  Then color in the bottom area in brown to look like a table. I used Candied Apple, Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron, Hickory Smoke, Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, and Pine Needles crayons.

To give the scene a slightly vintage feel, ink around the borders with Antique Linen Distress Ink, carrying the corners in with the ink. Use a white pen to draw lines on the snowman's scarf.

Stamp the sentiment in Black Soot Archival at the bottom center of the card using the stamp platform and dry it. Shift the stamp slightly and stamp the sentiment again and this time pour Gold Embossing Powder over it and heat emboss for a bolder layered look. Use an Embossing Pen to trace the designs and add stripes to the ornaments, and quickly pour Gold Embossing Powder over them and heat emboss.

Using a small paintbrush, brush over the open parts of the ornaments with the new Icicle Crackle Paste. Clean the brush, and then use it to add Snowfall Grit Paste to Santa's suit and hat and the snowman's body. Use your finger to push the Grit Paste down. Let this dry.

Die cut the wider candle from Candlelight Colorize using gold Metallic Kraftstock, Blackout Kraftstock, and White Heavystock. Color in the candle flames with Distress Crayons, and assemble the candle and candlestick with Collage Medium, after inking the candle with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Trim the candle down so it will fit better on the card front.

Punch a medium sized circle from vellum, and adhere it behind the candle flame. Adhere the candle stick and candle to the card center with Collage Medium. Mount the card front to gold Metallic Kraftstock (12x12 piece), then black cardstock, and then mount onto the card base using two sided tape. Ink the edges of the card base with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.
