Ranger Liquid Pearls Flowers For You Card

Happy March! I can't believe we are in our third month this year already...February flew by. Spring is fast approaching, so I thought this card that I made for the Ranger booth at Creativation this year would be appropriate, as it's covered with Tim Holtz's Sizzix Funky Foliage flowers and shrooms, and even a fairy, all embellished with Ranger's Liquid Pearls (a few new colors). Hope you enjoy this second card from the show.
Using some older colors of Liquid Pearls, I started with Robin's Egg and squirted some on the glass mat and added water to it to really thin it down. I used a larger paintbrush and painted the blue over the whole piece of Distress Cardstock on the bumpier side. I did the same with the Garden and Gold Pearl and instead used a thinner brush to paint in lines at the bottom to mimic grasses. I love that you can use Liquid Pearls as a watercolor as well.
I sewed around the piece, and then mounted it to blue Metallic Cardstock and then onto a Wendy Vecchi Make Art Perfect Card base. I inked the edges of the Idea-ology Paper Doll with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, and die cut the pieces from Funky Foliage using more Metallic Cardstock.
Using Liquid Pearls again, I watercolored in the Paper Doll and the bouquet of flowers she is holding. I added more to the metal butterfly. I love the new fluorescent tones of Liquid Pearls...the yellow is Lightning and the orange is Outrageous. I also added some brads for her buttons.
I adorned all the foliage pieces with more Liquid Pearls, just straight from the tubes. I layered everything on with Multi Matte Medium. To make the sentiment I had to take words apart and add letters to make what I wanted using the Script Celebration and Friendship Words from Tim's Sizzix Thinlets. You gotta do what you gotta do, and I have done this several times before.
