CC3C - Layering Stencil: Paint Resist

It's Saturday! So here's another challenge to get your crafty week going in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! Thanks for all the faux cracked glass entries last time...all very cool! This new challenge, number thirty-one (Three more to go!) is using the Layering Stencil, Paint Resist Technique. I'm cheating here, as I made this tag for the Ranger Booth for CHA 2015, but I have waited to blog it all this time until now, as it was made using Tim's technique that we are using for this challenge.  Hope you like it!

I cut a #10 sized tag...my favorite size...out of Glossy Cardstock. Yes Glossy! You can do this technique on many surfaces! I followed Tim's instructions for the technique.

I added some Film Strip Ribbon to mimic the road, and stitched that down, and around the tag.

I die cut several old jalopy pieces...I like to have several to do lots of layers...and the sentiment as well out of more Glossy Cardstock.

I inked in the jalopy with Forrest Moss and Vintage Photo, and added water droplets. I did the same to the sentiment although not as grungy looking. I also added a few doodles on the jalopy.

I painted all the chrome pieces with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint. The headlights I left white, and only inked around. I also added Glossy Accents to them.

I inked in the tire areas with Jet Black Archival. I cut out all the gents from the Found Relatives card, and started layered everything on the tag.

This is a fun challenge with a plethora of ways to use this technique. I can't wait to see what you do!
