Hey hey hey!!!! Thanks for all the comments yesterday! I just love reading them, and it totally means the world to me! Here are my Top 10 Picks (Does my opinion count???) from the 2014 CHA Mega Show. They are in no order of importance, and these are all products I think I just must have ASAP! Let me know what you think, and don't forget that you have to comment on this post to be eligible for either one of the give-away prizes shown further down on this post!!!
My Top 10 Picks:
1. Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 Crackled Texture Paste:
2. Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer: (And yes, I want the new Scissors, the new paper stash and embellies, new stencils, new Distress Paints, new stamps, and new Alcohol Inks, but I only have 10 spots!)
(This were a Hot 20 Winner!) This display in the New Product Showcase was super cool with all the Distress Markers piled up below it! What makes this tool so cool, it that you can use it with "MOST" markers and not just Distress. For thicker markers, you just take out the mechanism that holds a thinner marker, and load the thicker. TOO COOL!!! I even saw him demo it with a Sharpie marker! |
3. Crystal Ninja's Crystal Katana:
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) Those pesky tiny objects that are so hard to pick up and place on projects, will now be much easier to deal with using this rubber and sticky like tool. I am totally in awe as to how it works. When the tip wears off, you just add a new one. I even ordered a few extra for my mother who has arthritis, and I am using them in my classes! |
4. Fiskar's 12 & 24 Inch Rotary Ruler Combo Cutter:
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) I really love the 6x24 inch one, as it has a handle and is narrow for easy storage, but what makes these super cool, it that they cut fabric as well as paper. I LOVE that! The blades are magnetized so they are easy to change out so you don't cut yourself. |
5. ComposiMold Power Mold Modeling Compound:
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) This is the coolest mold compound ever! Why? Because, you remelt it in the microwave and use it over and over. You can even mold chocolates and food, as it's food safe, so you need one for the kitchen and one for the craft space! It feels like jiggly silicon. So COOL!!! |
6. Amazing Tape:
7. Various Spray Paints I'm Lumping Together: Krylon Looking Glass, Krylon Frosted Glass, Design Master TintIt, Design Master Metallic Sprays
This stuff totally sprays out a real mirror! ;0) A little shabbying up and you could make an antique mirror. Krylon is also carrying some awesome Glitter Blast Sprays as well as Make It Stone looking Sprays. See the website for awesome techniques! |
The jar with the beads has the Mirror Spray on the base of it, and the larger jar has the Frosted Glass. |
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) I can't find a link yet, but the TintIt Spray was so unique in that it is transparent, and can be sprayed on most anything from glass to fabric. It doesn't dry hard on fabric. You can still see the wood grain here...love that...just like a stain. See the website for fabulous techniques! |
This was covered in foil and then sprayed with Modern Metals. I am so doing this technique! |
The Modern and Premium Metal Sprays totally transformed projects. This pineapple looking sconce is really plastic spoons...double take huh?!? |
8. Lumi Inkodye Transfer Paint:
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) This is the do it yourself screen printing, but get this...it's done in the sunlight in just 10 minutes! CRAZY!!!! And, it's all green and safe! |
9. Arc Crafts BARC Wood Roll Sheets & Tape:
10. Ranger Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inks & Mini Ink Blending Tools:
(This was a Hot 20 Winner!) Genius! Now one of our favorite inks come in a handy tiny size great for travel and class kits! This are so stinking adorable!!!! |
I really could add so much more! The whole show was filled with fabulous finds for every type of crafter. I hope you've seen something you might use.
Now for the "give-away prizes". Just leave a comment on this post, and I'll randomly pick two people using the Random Number Generator, and send you one of these two prizes containing a lot of Sizzix goodies, Zip Dry Glue, a Sizzix tote bag, and stencils from either Stencil Girl Products or Plaid. Check back on Monday, January 27th to see if you've won! Good Luck!
And, before I leave with these Top 10 Picks from CHA 2014 (AND the give-away prizes!!!), I want to show you how I spent my last days and nights in Anaheim...at Disney!!!
On Tuesday night, after the show ended, Gerriann, Darcie, Amy, Johnna, and I dragged ourselves to a nightly Disney special. We were sooooo tired, but it was a lot of fun. |
It's A Small World!!! |
Then, on Wednesday morning, I joined Heather, Mario, and Tim (Later Joy and Chelle.) We stayed until closing, and had an UBER AMAZING day and night! It was crazy great to experience both parks with the ultimate Disney Park tour guides Mario & Tim! WOW!!! |
I Hope you enjoyed my Top 10 Picks of the 2014 CHA Mega Show, and don't forget to leave a comment to be eligible for the prizes!
I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to try all your top 10 CHA picks, but the one on the top of my list is the Tim Holtz distress marker spritzer. I saw the demo video on Tim's blog and it looks very versatile. I love your pictures of Disneyland too, which other than Walt Disney World, is one of my favorite parks. I especially love your picture with Tim's entourage. Your generous giveaway bags look splendid, so I hope I get one. LOL! Blessings, my friend.

Hey Anita, so glad you had a fabulous time at CHA and loved the picture of your Designer's Showcase setup! How proud you must have been! Looks like you had a grand time at Disneyland, too! I hope to get there someday! Your top 10 includes such an array of very cool products but I think I'm most interested in the wood tape and wood sheets. I've seen lots of crafters die cutting wood veneer and I'd like to give that a try. Thanks so much for popping by to visit my blog, too! I hope to get back to it regularly!
ReplyDeleteWell you certainly had a great time at CHA and in between! What a line up of fabulous products and I don't know if I could even pick a favorite product!! The little gem holder is a must for those of us with older finders for sure!!! I think I missed your post of yesterday, so off to have a look!
ReplyDeleteWow, Anita, thanks for the top ten. I'm really curious about a lot of the products you listed. Is that Amazing tape double sided? I will have to grab up some of that. Thanks for the chance to win!! Looks like you had a great time at Disney too, my husband's favorite ride has always been It's a Small World. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to pin this post so I can refer back to it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing picks - so many exciting tools and sprays and stuff!! Have to admit I'm one of those people Tim talks about with the marker spritzer who got one from somewhere or other, years ago - have managed to track it down too - ready to play. The mirror spray looks so cool, as does the mold stuff - and it looks as though you had an amazing time at Disney too - what a trip!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the chance at the giveaway prizes too, of course...
Alison xx
Looks like you had THE most amazing time Anita! Love you recap, the wood tape looks intriguing! Thanks for offering a give away too! Sue C x
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing what caught your imagination at the show. Almost as good as being there myself. (You are such a good writer, by the way....just sayin'). I was blown away by the sconces made from plastic spoons...that really caught my attention. And, I love the wood tape. What a great idea...and so many applications. So glad you had the ultimate tour of Disney! You sound so happy. That makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all of your wonderful finds. Can't wait to go shopping in a few months.
ReplyDeleteGreat re-cap! I'm still sad I didn't get to go. I can't wait to get my hands on the crackle embossing paste!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, it must have been difficult to choose just 10...... I so want that Wendy Crackle! Lots of things on your list are new to me (didn't see them elsewhere in videos) but I have that spritzer on order - yay! The transfer paint looks amazing, not sure it would work over here in the UK, we don't get sun very often - lol! Thank you for sharing your top 10 and thanks too for the chance to win. Disney is on my bucket list...... Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteWOWEE! I mean CHA, exciting but Disney with Tim and the crew?! Um that really would be a Dream come true in my books! :D TFS Anita!!

Thanks for sharing your top 10 picks, Anita. Looks like a lot of great products. I wish that I didn't live on the other side of the planet, I'd hop right over. I would like to try all of them, but I know none of that will make its way here where I live. My favorite products are the transfer paint and the mould compound!
ReplyDeleteLove your Disney pics and thanks a lot for the chance to win on your giveaway.
Greetings from Germany,
Gaby
Thanks for the great recaps, Anita! Almost as good as being there. :) But without all the walking. And thank you also for the chance to win cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't want it before I want it now! Your excitement is contagious.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your favorites. I always look forward to the sneak peak!
ReplyDeleteYou look so stinking adorable cheezing it up for the camera! :) OMG I can't possibly choose a favorite here. I don't know how you didn't drive yourself nuts trying to narrow it down to 10. So many random facts of coolness are buzzing around in my brain right now just from what you showed. I can't even imagine what you know after having been there. OH that plastic spoon. Heck yes I took a double and triple take...that's freakin' amaze balls! Tree bark tape? Seriously? Do you know how many years I've attempted to make a faux birch background on paper and now I can just use tape... What's next? Will Washi come up with a sweater line? Can you imagine all of us wearing tape clothes?? HAHAHA....I know, I laugh, but it will be a thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing the great pics and groovy details and welcome back and thanks for the sweet comment on my blog and happy weekend chica.
K..all done :)

ReplyDeletegreat post! thanks for sharing some new products! can't wait to shop for these when they come out.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Nice to see a different perspective on favorites from CHA! I reeeeeaaaallly reeeeaaallly NEED that Crystal Ninja tool too; I have a million other uses for a picky uppy little itty bitty pieces stick. Probably gonna wear that thing out. And didn't see reviews of any of those sprays and also saw Italian frescos in Wendy's crackle. That's going to be fun, fun, fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch for facilitating my craft product "problem."
Oh my! Thanks for the look at some wonderful new products!!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the sharing!! Love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo idea how I managed to miss this post til now.... Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your top 10 picks, some of the products I have not seen anywhere else yet, so that's great. I think my top two must be your first two, the Wendi crackle paste and the Marker Spritzer, - can't wait for them to hit the shelves in the UK.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you had a tiring but totally fabulous time!
Thanks for posting the photos from CHA. While I am curious about the crackle paste, I would have to say the re-usable molding compound is exciting, and I love the spray paints. That being said, the first thing I would buy is the new round ink blending tool from TH.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all these products Anita - so interesting and desirable! It must be sooo much fun to go to CHA. Nicola x
ReplyDeleteWould it be just awful to say," I need all those new products" LOL
ReplyDeleteI loved all your posts. Thank you for being our eyes and ears.
