How Green Is Your Spring?

It's Saturday...time for another Our Creative Corner challenge! This week Marcy Kaminski of En Papillote Arts, will be your hostess with the challenge of "How green is your spring?" Marcy says, "Here is an inspiration photo. I love this montage! It's chock full of inspiration.  Show us Spring in its full splendor, using GREEN as your main color."
Can we ever have enough Thank You Cards...or Tags, as the case might be? Sometimes I feel like the words "thank you" have been forgotten, especially by the younger generation. Etiquette and manners never go out of style in my opinion, and are not just for the southerners!  I almost never send a thank you to the besties for things, as we have a certain understanding and see each other a lot so a text does the trick, but I do send out to everyone else...especially family members, or else they talk about you worse when you are not around!
This time I decided to make a Thank You Tag instead of the usual card. People tend to pin tags up and save them for display, but cards not so much. I used the Artistic Outpost's new release stamp set Flower Market, for all the images, which are atop Tim's background technique of Wrinkle Free Distress, along with a little stitching.
Inks plus water equal magical background.
This was enough ink to do 2 tags.
Water droplets and splotches are a must...loved the bleached effect.
I busted out the Distress Marker and colored in my images...love these markers.
I stamped all images with Archival Ink in Jet Black and cut them out, after coloring them in with the markers.

Supplies:
From My Stash: white cardstock, ribbon, adhesive pearls

And...before I announce who wins my first Blog Giveaway, in honor of the Ranger U news, I would first like to say THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who commented. Some of your comments made my day. I am still on Creative Cloud 9! I replied back to all of you who have enabled Blogger to allow comments, and to those of you with blogs listed as your own. If you did not get a proper thank you from me, I am sorry, but I could not figure out how to get a word out to you. Again...thank you all from the bottom to the top of my heart!
And....out of 25, the random number generator has picked...

4! Congrats Plum Tuckered! Please email me your address so I can get this prize out to you. Thank you everyone!!!
I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

  6. Hello Anita
Your Tag shows us a great technique, but it also shows us how you can enhance a simple Bg into a piece of Art, I love your elements especially the little girl, she makes the tag more personal. Ans I agree you do save Tags to display.
    Smiles:)

  12. Anita, I just love how you show us the technique you used. I love TH supplies, but I have to admit, I don't use all of them. I love how you mix and match, and send some quality time creating a grand paper craft! You truly are an artist! I love everything you make, and I just sit here in awe over your passion. I really love your work & your creative flair. Great tag, and yes, thank you's as well as etiquette seem to have fallen to the way side for quick text messages, and Facebook posts. You have inspired me to make and send out a few TY cards myself. TFS
    have a great week!

  13. So beautiful, Anita! I just love all of the dimension and detail you add to your projects! I completely agree with you about the art of etiquette. It is really sad when a heartfelt note in a card is replaced by a Facebook message or a text. It is frustrating sometimes and I think "disconnecting" from technology and reconnecting with people face-to-face is a good thing...and something to keep in perspective. You have inspired me this week to send out some cards to people I haven't connected with in a while. Thank you for that! Hope your weekend was great! Hugs!

  14. Love your background and that you explained how you did it! Here's another tip I learned in art school with watercoloring - after getting the color on the paper and while it's still wet, drop alcohol in random places, it pushes the ink away. You can also sprinkle salt (any kind) and let the paper dry (on its own) for a cool speckled effect to. You probably know all these tips, your so talented! I also LOVE the butterflies! Have a great weekend!
