Hello All! Today, a quick post on this vintage looking masculine birthday card using products and techniques from the Tim Holtz demos. Sorry there are no step out photos due to a broken camera on my phone, but I used my husband's to take pics of the finished card. I'll try to explain the process though as best I can.
The hardest part of making this was deciding which ephemera to use, and sorting through all TH stash of it. Once I figured that out and laid things where they would go, the card came together super fast. The list of ephemera packs are listed below.
I had a tag from one of the demos that was collaged in Typeset, so I use Peeled Paint Distress Embossing Glaze from Tim and Ranger to color the numbers and letter on the tag. Then I began mounting the ephemera and tag onto brick colored cardstock with a little stitching.
I loved the glazed look so much, I just kept adding to certain parts of the ephemera using Weathered Wood, Antique Linen (my fav), and Hickory Smoke, mostly to numbered areas, and of course on the young lad. It really makes a difference on detail and texture, and helps things to pop. I totally love the clock all glazed over.
I had a few Industrious Sticker scraps so I incorporated the star trim, arrows for the clock, and the letter. I do love those stickers. Then I finished off with string for the tags, and a little more stitching, foam taping on a few things, and a Hardware Head.
