Stamper's Anonymous Halloween 2020 - Snarky Cats Halloween Trio: #1

Hey there everyone! Today brings me to my next card, (there are three in this set), using the new Halloween stamps from Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous, in particular the Snarky Cats Halloween set and Ironworks Layering Stencil. I will have one a day for the next three days so the posts don't get too long. Each one is made the same way, but vary in size and background. Hope you enjoy these. Here is the first, the smallest one (4.25 x 5.5 inches) 'It's Behind Me Isn't'.

Cut all the papers you need...Heavystock to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches plus extra for cutting out cat and hat, black cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5, Wavy Kraft Paper 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, and a kraft card base to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Using the Heavystock and Stamping Platform, stamp the moon image from Sketch Manor using Jet Black Archival, as well as a mask on sticky note for it. Stamp the cat on extra Heavystock as well as a mask for it, and the witch's hat for cutting out, using Jet Black Archival. Cut out the cat from sticky note and lay over cat. Stamp the broom below the cat as if it is riding it.

Cut out moon mask and lay it over moon on card front. Lay the Ironwork Stencil over the card front, and ink in the design with Hickory Smoke Archival. You will have to move the stencil over and continue. Remove stencil and ink over the whole card with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Remove mask from moon and ink over moon and card with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Ink edges in Hickory Smoke.

Add card front to black cardstock mat, and distress edges. Adhere to wavy paper and then kraft card base, inking the edges of both in Vintage Photo Archival Ink. 

Color the front of the Deco Frame with a Black Soot Distress Crayon and rub the crayon in to all the bumps in the frame. Use a paper towel to wipe off the excess not in the recessed areas. Stamp the sentiment as well as a bat (you can also just stamp the bat on the card instead) on Heavystock and cut out. Ink edges of sentiment with Antique Linen. Adhere frame to moon and sentiment to moon center with Collage Medium. Adhere bat next to moon.

Cut out the cat with broom and hat. Use Distress Crayons and a Detail Water Brush to color them in. Add shadows as well as color the edges. Add foam tape to the back of cat and adhere to card. Adhere hat to card as if it has blown off. Add Glossy Accents to the eye balls of the cat. Use a white pen to add dots to the sky for stars, and a black pen for movement lines after the cat and to the hat.

Stamper's Anonymous Halloween 2020 - Double Toil and Trouble

Hi!!! Here we are again (Are you sick of me?) with another card (the 4th) using the new Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous Halloween Stamps.  These cards (I made two different varieties) are made with three of the new Layering Stencils as well as the Snarky Cat Halloween and Tiny Text Halloween Sets. I so enjoyed making these, as those kiddos from Paper Dolls always have me talking to and mothering them! The hardest part of making these cards is picking which children to use. Enjoy.

Cut heavystock to 3 3/8 x 4 (or 3 3/8 x 8 for two cards), kraft cardstock 1 3/4 by 4 (or by 8 for two),  black cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8  for mounting, and a kraft card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Set card base and black cardstock aside. Using the heavystock, ink over it with Antique Linen and Pumice Stone Distress Ink with an Ink Blending Tool. Mist with water, and dry.

Lay the Medium Multi Dots Shifter Stencil over the heavystock, and ink in the first set of circles with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink. Move or shift the stencil over, and ink over the shifter circles with Twisted Citron. Trim the circle paper in half if you want two cards. Ink the edges with Pumice Stone.

Lay the Ironwork Stencil over the small piece of kraft cardstock. Ink it in with Antique Linen Distress Ink, really working the ink in. Ink the edges with Pumice Stone. Do another if making two cards. Clean the stencils.

Adhere dots paper and ironwork paper to black cardstock with two sided tape. Add a strip of the striped tissue tape between the papers and around the back of the card. Distress the edges of the black cardstock taking care not to go over the tissue tape.

Add a line of Black Diamond Stickles from Ranger to the edges of the tissue tape. Follow the ironwork image with Platinum Stickles. Trace around the orange circles with Orange Slice Stickles and the green with Lime Green Stickles. Let this dry in a safe place.

Stamp two pumpkins for each card onto heavystock and cut out, as well as the sentiment for use later. Ink edges and mount sentiment on black cardstock.

Ink over the pumpkins in Carved Pumpkin and Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Use Rusty Hinge Distress Crayon and a detail water brush to add a darker area to the shadows of the pumpkin, and Peeled Paint to the stem. Color the edges as well. Select children to use for the card, and ink the edges in Pumice Stone. Use Distress Crayons and water brush to color in the  hair and clothes.
I used Victorian Velvet for cheeks, Antique Linen and Old Paper to deepen shadows and details on the clothing.

I wanted areas of the clothing to copy the tissue tape, so I painted in the areas I wanted altered with Antique Linen Distress Paint, let it dry, and then used permanent ink pens (black and orange) to color in those places like the tape. 

Cut the tops off of one of the pumpkins (or two if making two), and ink the cut edges. Adhere children behind pumpkin so it looks like the child is inside. Cut off legs or body parts you don't want shown. Adhere pumpkin stem to the head as a hat. Adhere the other children to the pumpkins like they are sitting on it. Set aside.  

Color in a token with Twisted Citron Crayon and wipe off excess, and then add a jumpring. Cut off about 18 inches of Crinkle Ribbon per card and mist the ribbon with Carved Pumpkin Spray Stain. Crinkle it up and dry with a heat tool. Cut off enough ribbon to go across card with overage to wrap around the back. Secure the ribbon with two sided tape on the back. Cut off three inches of ribbon and slide under the ribbon on the front right side. Gather the rest of the ribbon and wrap around two fingers until all wrapped. Remove from your fingers and gather in the center. Lay this in the center of the three inch piece, and slide the jumpring and token onto the three inch piece. Tie that piece in a tight knot with the gathered up piece directly in the center. Separate the loops from each other and fluff up the bow with the charm hanging correctly in the center. Adhere children and pumpkins to the card with foam tape or two sided tape, overlapping them. Add sentiment. Add a few dots of Orange Slice Stickles to the clothes if desired.
