Hello Everyone! Here is the fourth project I made for the Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous Everyday 2 Summer 2024 Release, using the Hodgepodge Stamp Set. Since this HUGE stamp has ALL the cool vintage images on it, I decided to do a whole series of Note Cards like you get in a boxed set from a stationary store, that you can just use to say hi or even highlight images on the card front for a particular occasion, all with matching envelopes, and they are super fast to make. These are just two ideas for them, but the possibilities are endless with all the images. Enjoy!
For as many note cards as
you want, ink the edges of the cards with Vintage Photo Distress Ink from Ranger. Mount
Black Kraftstock to the cards cut to 3 7/8 x 5 3/8 inches and have those ready,
as well as the envelopes. Cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock to 6 x 8 inches. Place
the cardstock into a large stamp platform, and add the whole Hodgepodge stamp
sheet on the Kraft centering it and close the lid to secure the stamp. Stamp the
sheet onto the Kraft with Black Soot Archival Ink.
Cut a scrap piece of paper to the length and width of the envelope when open. Stamp the front of the envelope with the Hodgepodge and Black Soot. Turn it over and place the scrap piece under the flap and then stamp the flap. Place the scrap inside the envelope to protect the inside of the flap and stamp the bottom portion of the back side of the envelope. Ink the edges of the envelope with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Repeat with as many envelopes as you wish.
Die cut as many of the
Photo Border Frames from the Vault Picture Show Thinlits from Sizzix with Black
Kraftstock as you want to showcase the images for the card fronts…I used one
for each card but you can use as many as you like. Pop out the dots along the
border and the center part, but save the center part for your sentiment. Play
around with the placement of the frame to find which image you like to
highlight to figure out if you are going to cut the Hodgepodge paper
horizontally or vertically for the card fronts. You can get two horizontally
and one vertically with leftovers to piece together for another. Select a sentiment from the Floristry set and
stamp it in Glacier White onto that center part from the frame. I had several
black labels left over from the old Pillow Box Bigz Die and used those to stamp
the finger from the Tidbits Stamp Set. If you don’t have that die, there are
several die sets that have some including the NEW Vault Pillow Box set.
Sand the edges from the sentiments and finger labels lightly and ink the borders with Vintage Photo. Cut the card fronts taking care to have the image you want showcased in the correct place so you have room for the sentiment, and the size should be 3.75 x 5.25 inches, and ink the edges with Vintage Photo. Add strips of Design Tape where your labels will go. Mount it on the card front, and use two sided tape to adhere the frame and labels. Use a white pen to outline the labels and color in a few things on the highlighted image.
