Sizzix Tim Holtz Dash Away All Tags

Hi everyone! It's been awhile, but I'm back today to show you some personalized Christmas gift tags for my kiddos (I make all my gift tags for each present!), made with the new exclusive limited edition Simon Says Stamp Surprise Sizzix Thinlit Set "Dash Away All" from Tim Holtz. Don't delay in ordering as these will sell out quick. These little dies are so charming and magical and the perfect size for #8 tags. The sleigh and reindeer are my new fav! These tags where super fast to make and personalizing them with the Dymo made them even easier. Enjoy!

Using #8 Heavystock Tags, ink over the tags randomly with Prize Ribbon Distress Ink and then Villainous Potion Distress Ink, alternating the colors and reinking heavier while blending the colors. I inked over mine three times for a nice dark sky. Don't you think these two ink colors make the most perfect snowy night time sky?!! Lightly mist the tags with water and then quickly blot off the water with a paper towel to remove the ink, leaving white water spots for a starry look. Lightly mist the tags with Hocus Pocus and Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain for some magic. Dry thoroughly with a heat tool.

Using the Dash Away All Thinlits, die cut the moon in the upper left corner of the tags placing them horizontally. Die cut the stars in the lower left corner first, and then again next the moon along the upper border of the tag. Use a die pick to remove all the die pieces.

Place the tag in a stamp platform and add a sentiment from the Stamptember 2021 (another exclusive) set from Stamper's Anonymous in the lower right corner of the tag. Close the platform to secure the stamp. Lightly dust the corner of the tag with an Anti Static Pouch so the powder doesn't stick where you don't want it. Stamp the sentiment using either of the Distress Inks from before (I used Villainous Potion) and apply White Embossing Powder over it, shake off, and heat emboss. Do the same to the other tags.

Die cut the sleigh and reindeer with black cardstock for each tag. Cut white heavystock to cover the back of the tags so the die cut parts have a white background and adhere the cardstock to the back with Collage Medium. Add Collage Medium to the back of the sleigh and reindeer, and place them between the star patterns along the middle of the tag slanting to the upper right.

Use a Dymo Machine to type the recipients names and adhere them above the sentiment. Use a white gel pen to doodle stitch lines around the border of the tags. Cut black velvet Trim to add to the hole of the tag, and string it through and add a knot at the end.
