Wendy Vecchi Award Winning 18th Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Today I have a birthday card for my youngest son who will be 18 in a few days. I just can't believe how fast time has flown. Anyway, this card is made with Wendy Vecchi's new Award Winning Stamp, Stencil, and Die Set from Ranger. The images are so stinking cute and so versatile for so many family occasions.  This card went together in a flash, about 30 minutes which is fast for me. Enjoy!

On a piece of gold Metallic Kraft Stock, stamp the trophy cup from the Award Winning Set in Jet Black Archival Ink using a stamp platform, and then heat emboss it with Gold Embossing Powder. Add the '18' stamps from the Tim Holtz Merchant Stamp Set from Stamper's Anonymous to the center of the cup, stamp it with Jet Black and heat emboss with the gold powder. On a piece of dark brown Kraft Stock, stamp the base of the cup with Jet Black and heat emboss with the gold. Add the 'happy birthday' from the Thank You set to the inside spaces of the base of the cup, and stamp those in Jet Black and heat emboss in gold. Use the coordinating die cuts to cut the cup and base out. Use a hole punch to add a hole to the center of the arms of the cup to help you cut out the middle portion for each side. Ink the edges of the cup and base with Acorn Archival and an Ink Blending Tool. Adhere the cup to the base with Perfect Card Adhesive.

Stamp the ribbon in Night Sky Archival onto White Perfect Cardstock. Stamp the sentiments '#1' and 'son' in the center of the ribbon using the Night Sky and then die cut the ribbon out.

Place a White Perfect Cardstock panel onto the Stay-tion and the Square Grate Stencil on top. Secure the stencil with the magnets. Ink over the stencil in Night Sky using a Domed Ink Blending Tool. Reposition the stencil so that the squares are in the center between the inked squares where there is nothing inked in. Use Acorn Archival and ink in those squares so you now have a plaid pattern. Cut the panel to 3 7/8 x 5 3/8 inches. Ink the edges with Acorn Archival.

Adhere the stenciled plaid piece to a White Perfect Cardstock base cut a little larger with two sided tape, and then onto a Kraft Cardstock base card cut 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches with two sided tape. Ink the edges of the card with Acorn. Add a strip of the gold pinked edge Trim Tape from Tim Holtz to the bottom center of the plaid. Adhere the trophy and base to the center of the tape with two sided tape and foam tape in places for dimension. Adhere the prize ribbon to the right handle of the trophy with foam tape.
