Legit Hipster Alcohol Ink Card

Here is another all occasion card using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks from Ranger, that was in Ranger's booth at Creativation this year. It has a more masculine feel I think, and it was super easy to make. The Hipster images from Tim and Stamper's Anonymous are just so versatile and fun to use.  By the way, I'll be teaching an Alcohol Ink Workshop in the near future at The Crafty Scrapper, so if you are in the area come join in...dates coming soon. Enjoy!

I pounced on and then dropped the Alcohol Inks onto White Yupo. I mounted this on black and then colored cardstock (I changed my mind from the turquoise color to an orange base.). I die cut the frame with Black Cardstock and then stitched around it, and the base black cardstock.
Instead of the Yupo, I opted to use Specialty Stamping Paper for the bird images for a very crisp look. I stamped him once on plain and dropped Sunset Orange only on his beak, and then stamped him twice on SSP that was colored with Alcohol Ink by pouncing using all the same colors as before. You can use Alcohol Ink on SSP, and it gives a more muted look, which I needed here. I die cut all three birds, and layered him up alternating with the colored and white pieces for a pop. I adhered him into the frame, and then used Black Tie Enamel Accents on his glasses, and then filled them it with Glossy Accents, for a glass look.
Next up from my Creativation samples, are cards using Ranger's Liquid Pearls. See you then, and thanks for stopping by!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
