Hello and happy first Monday in November everyone! I am happy to say that I am the Guest Designer for
Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge Blog all through November! That's right...I'M BACK...and having fun again too!
This weeks challenge is to
"Shine Bright Like A Diamond" using Tim Holtz products. Boy oh boy, did I take this to extremes. I don't think I've ever made such a bright and blingy project before! Thank you so much for asking me back SSS! I'm having a blast!
I die cut all of my pieces for the ornaments using Tim's Deco Sheets, that were stuck to cardstock. |
I inked the edges of all the pieces, and then assembled using Multi Matte from Ranger, and then added Loop Pins for the hangers. |
I inked directly on the Harlequin Texture Fade with Archival, before embossing, so I would know exactly were I would put the Stickles (in the next step). |
I used Black Diamond Stickles on the black harlequin shapes, and Diamond Stickles on the white areas. Talk about shine and glitz. |
I stamped onto the Crinkle Ribbon with the Diamond Background Stamp. |
I colored in the debossed areas of the Typed Token with Picket Fence Distress Crayon. I used the new Metallic Trimmings for the ornaments, and the sentiment came from the new Idea-ology Metallic Stickers as well. |
I made what I call the cheater's bow...wrap ribbon around your fingers about four times, remove, and place in the middle of a small piece of ribbon, and tie that in a knot, then separate loops and fluff up...never fails. I also still have lots of Baubles in my stash, so I used those too along with the Typed Token. |
The ribbon for the ornaments was already silver, but I wanted a little
more bling, so I misted it with Tim's Mica Spray in Pewter before making
my bows. |
Make a project for the theme this week, and you can be chosen to win a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp! Good luck, and I look forward to all your entries, AND thanks for coming by!!!
