Hello All! Sorry for not visiting lately...been horribly sick and finally on the mend. Today, I have two birthday tags that I've made for friends using lots of
Ranger,
Tim Holtz,
Stamper's Anonymous, and
Sizzix goodness. Thanks for the support and comments, and I hope I can do the same! Cheers!
I used washi tape to make borders around the tags, and then stamped two of Tim's background images using Glacier White Pigment Ink. You can't see much color on a black tag, so stamping in white first is the key...a trick I learned from the awesome Wendy Vecchi! |
Then I started inking in all the bright colors using Ranger Dye Inks...SO COOL, right?!! |
I covered the tags with Tim's Distress Micro Glaze to keep my ink sealed and vibrant, and then wiped any extra off. LOVE this stuff! |
I stamped and die cut the cupcakes, inked in the bottoms, and then stamped in the same ink. It's amazing that you can ink and stamp in the same color but the intensities of each make them not blend together. |
I covered the tops of the cupcakes with Opaque Texture Paste, and then sprinkled on some Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter for glitz. Once it was dry, I lightly inked over the raised paste with Antique Linen Distress to make it looks like meringue...why not?!! |
I had these Found Relatives girls cut out from a class, so I gussied them up with hats and ribbon...LOVE their boas...and affixed them on the cupcake tops with a Memo Pin. I stitched around the tags, added more ribbon, and adhered lots of matting, then finished up with words, charms for initials, Mirrored Stars and Hearts, bows, and finally some Stickles. |
Until next time...have an awesome day!
