12 Tags of 2016 Remix - September

Hello Tim tag lovers! Today I have my September installment for Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Remix. I TOTALLY LOVED the addition of the Alcohol Ink/Archival Ink Resist in addition to the Paint Patina (See my April, 2013 tag here.) and Alcohol Ink Resist (See my September, 2014 tag here.) from past tags. I had a hard time deciding which stamp to use for the technique, as I knew I wanted an Umbrella Guy, and I had to figure out a way to incorporate Autumn leaves, as that theme is almost always on my September tags, so I tried two different stamps, liked them both, and so I decided to make two tags. There are a lot of pictures, sorry, but please enjoy, and Happy Fall Y'all!!!
The minute I received all the new Enamel Accents from Ranger, I stated playing with them...A LOT MORE on that later. I swirled some Autumn colors into a Cash Key Charm with a pin, and then stuck a leaf in the middle. I one had one of this type of leaf, so I used another on the other charm. It took a few hours to completely set up. I LOVE the results.
I used six different colors of Distress Paint on the background tags and Alpha Parts...I couldn't help myself. Once dry, I inked over both of them with Mustard Seed, distressed the edges, and then inked them with Gathered Twigs.
I originally tried the technique with Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Archival and the same tones of Alcohol Ink, and it looked good, but with my Autumn tones, I decided to try again with Espresso Archival and brown tones of Alcohol Ink. I LOVED the outcome even better. I think it's so cool that the Yupo paper takes on the tone of the Archival Ink. It doesn't look like a negative like Tim's does, but I still like the results. I used more Lake Mist Alcohol Ink on the newer Umbrella Guy so it's lighter than the older Umbrella Guy were I used more Teakwood Alcohol Ink. I like them both.
I used some of the letters on the stencil to make the word FALL by taping it off, and then stenciled in the ART.
I colored more Mixed Media Tag (I used Dyan's tags, size 10), and punched leaf from it. The punches are so easy to use. Then came the stitching and embellishments to finish this off.

If you haven't stopped by Tim's site to see all the tags people have submitted, I suggest you do...the Archival/Alcohol Ink technique is rocked by so many. It's so inspiring!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
