Hey there everyone! I'm back and before the end of the month, to show you my October tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2014. He used so many techniques that I love on his tag, and I of course had to do the same, however, I was also inspired by some pumpkins I recently saw in a Grandin Road Catalog.
I just love the non-traditional pumpkins they have in their catalog, so I made a few of my own, but with paper!
The photos just don't do the pumpkins or the backgrounds justice. I either need a photography class or a new camera.
I love Tim's new Pumpkin Parts Sizzix die! It was so easy to put together. I die cut these from scrap cardboard, and gave them all a few coats of White Picket Distress Paint. |
I added a little Distress Paint to the edges of the Alpha Tiles, and then added Distress Glitter. |
The Mini Blueprint Pumpkins didn't require much color since I wanted them white, but Pumice Stone Distress Marker provided great shadow. |
I love Orange Peel Stickles the best! The color is opaque rather than just glitter, and I love that! It highlighted each pumpkin just the way I wanted. |
I have had these leaves in my stash a zillion years, but they were the wrong color. Ranger's Alcohol Ink colored them right up. |

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

I am very taken with the harlequin pumpkin! It really makes me smile. Funny how some projects just don't photograph very well. I know that red is a very hard colour to photograph with any detail. It always flattens it out. Certain Blue/purples do it too. They either come out too pink or too blue. I think in this case it is the silver metallic that is just not showing up to its luster!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, love love your tags!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! What absolutely fabulous pumpkins these are. I must make my tag!!!

Great job with these pumpkins, Anita! Love them! But it is very difficult to read your instructions against the dark panels where you print them. Is there any way you could print the black scripted instructions against a pale or white background? Thanks.
