CC3C - Faded Layers

Happy Saturday crafty folks! It's time for the eighth challenge in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! May I just say that The Curiosity Crew and I absolutely are floored at all the Painted Industrial entries from the last challenge?!! You all blew us away! Thank you for joining in on all the fun!  I really wish each of you could win! AND...thank you for all of the comments. You all make me feel so good!
Challenge number eight is all about Faded Layers! It uses one of my favorite Ranger products!  I hope you can play along on this challenge so you can win some amazing fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor, The Funkie Junkie Boutique!!! Thank you sponsors for your generosity! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can carefully read all the rules here. Please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some gorgeous layered inspiration, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
I decided to get going on making more cards for the stash again, so here is a birthday card with a pocket to tuck a tag and a little something in.
A 12x12 Masterboard is always my favorite way to go to make a base for cards. Tim's Faded Layers technique was perfect to do a Masterboard with. I love that I can use this to make more than one item.
I trimmed the Masterboard to fit on a card base I had in my stash.
I had Tim's new Ice Cream Blueprint stamp in mind when I decided on my background colors using Neapolitan ice cream tones. I used the same color family of Archival Ink to stamp the ice cream cone. I inked all the edges of the pieces as well as the card base. I attached these to the card parts, and added the milk cap and inked ribbon.
I stamped and heat embossed the cone portion onto Ranger's Kraft Cardstock using Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder. I cut that out, and gave it a little shading with ink.
I stamped the ice cream portion onto parts of the Masterboard, and cut those out. After inking the edges, I used foam tape to layer the pieces on top of the cone. This went on to a #8 Kraft tag. Stickles and a Maya Road Star Pin topped off the triple scoop. After stamping some cool Hashtag words, I doodled a little using a Fude Ball Pen, and added more ribbon.
