A Christmas Story Lamp Card

I'm back, and this time with the first set of Christmas cards for this season, and boy did I have fun with these. My favorite comical Christmas movie is probably A Christmas Story, and when Wendy Vecchi released the No Ring Art stamp set from Stamper's Anonymous, my first thought was the Christmas leg lamp using her sexy legs stamp. Enjoy, and I'll be back tomorrow.
I gathered all the Wendy goods and planned out my cards.
I stamped the 'this side up' in Red Geranium Archival from Ranger and Wendy, and stenciled in the Fragile with Fern Green.
I covered up the words from above with sticky note, and then stamped the background stamp over in Jet Black.
I mounted the card onto blue cardstock and then the card base, and added Wendy's Washi Tape across the top and bottom. I inked the edges of everything with Tree Branch Archival.
I inked over the Mat Minis with Leaf Green and then Fern Green, and then stamped the coordinating door over the trim.
Using more Mixed Media Cardstock, I inked over it with Sky Blue Blendable Dye Ink and misted with water for a wintry sky look. Then I stenciled in the tree several times with Fern Green and dried really well. I stamped the Pin Point Dots in Sky Blue and embossed with White Embossing Powder for snow. Then I trimmed the paper down to fit behind the windows and adhered them.
I inked over the trim  and lamp shade Mat Minis with Dandelion and inked the edges with Tree Branch. I added Antique Linen Distress Paint from Tim Holtz in the center of the shades and let that dry. Then I drew in the lines on the shades with a gold Pitt Pen. I also inked in the rectangle lamp bases with Watering Can Archival.
I stamped the legs onto Specialty Stamping Paper and embossed them with Clear Powder, and cut one leg off for the lamp.
I gave the shade and leg more shading with Pitt Pens, and misted the shade with Pearl Mica Mist. I added the trim around the shade, and cut off the extra length of fringe. Than I attached the shade to the leg with foam tape.
I adhered the window, table top, and lamp base to the card, and then added a layer of Gloss Multi Medium to the window for a glass look.
I inked in the leaves and berried, and stamped the coordinating images. I cut the leaves and berries apart so I would have two parts.
I stamped and embossed the 'merry' sentiment with Clear and Jet Black, cut it out and mounted onto blue cardstock. I typed out the 'and bright' with a dymo, and added the sentiments onto the cards. I added the holly and used Stickles to highlight the berries and washi tape.

Christmas Embossing Tinsel Personalized Name Tags

Yikes, not only have I been away so long, I've been sick and so busy that I am so behind on my Christmas makes. Christmas really seemed to come way too fast this year.  I'm only half way through my Christmas cards, but I have a bunch of stuff to show you this week, so please stay tuned. I decided to start with tags for Christmas presents to check off the list first, and all of these are made with Tim Holtz stamps from Stamper's Anonymous and Ranger Embossing Powders and Oxide Inks.

I tried to match the tags to these cute little bags, so I started with a gold embossed tree from the Tree Line set.
I stamped the plaid in Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink so I could see it on the black tag, and then embossed with Red Embossing Tinsel, after masking off the tree and inside.
I stamped the names in Tall Text using Picket Fence Distress Ink and Snowflake Embossing Tinsel. Green Embossing Tinsel was using on the green tags.
It was the Great Outdoors and Into the Woods for these tags, along with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and Silver Embossing Tinsel.
To make the tag below, more of the same with the addition of Twisted Citron Oxide Ink and Lime Green and White Embossing Powder.
It was not too hard to emboss on top of other embossing, but I had to make sure not to put too much heat on the powders so it wouldn't spread too much.
