Your comments made both of my weeks...I am just floored! I was sooooo inspired by all the entries too. I learn so much from all of you. Thank you!!!! We are having a very hard time choosing a a Curiosity Crew winner for sure!

For my inspiration piece, I went with using Mustard Seed Distress Glitter as it's my favorite one at the moment! I love how it brings the honeycomb and bee to life! Doesn't that bee really look fuzzy???

| To create the background I used Ranger's Specialty Stamping Paper and Wendy Vecchi's Yikes Stripes Stencil as well as her new Archival Ink in Watering Can. I love using Tim's new mini Ink Blending Tools for stencils...it really gets ink in all the areas. |

| I wanted that French or English (???) queen bee motif, so it was older (Oddities) and newer (Daydream) Stamper's Anonymous images from Tim to the rescue. I love how these fit perfectly, and I am in love with the wreath crest one! There were many crown stamps to choose from as well, but I went with a metal Regal Adornment crown, and thought the swag with the bow was a perfect fit as well. Don't you just love charms??? |

| I colored the bee on the paper with a Mustard Seed Distress Marker, and then stamped the bee again with Jet Black Archival on Wendy's Clearly For Art Modeling Film as I wanted wing movement. |

| I cut the bee out, distressed the striped paper, inked it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and then layered cardstock underneath the paper and began sewing around each piece with different colors of thread. |

| I die cut Tim's new Honeycomb Frameworks die using Grunge Board, and painted it with Mustard Seet Distress Paint. I sanded and inked it as well, and then die cut more Honeycomb shapes using cork and a sheet of paper from Tim's Collage 8x8 Stack. Finally, I got to use the Mustard Seed Distress Glitter on some of the die cut shapes as well as the stripes on the Clearly For Art bee. Sweet as honey!!! |

| I adhered the layered papers on a 6x8 Burlap Panel, and decided to altered the Adornment charms with some Gold Paint Dabber. Then I began layering on the Honeycomb pieces. SO FUN!!! |

| I added a Dymo Tape caption, another charm, and a number one painted with Black Soot Distress Paint, which I also added to the sides of the Panel. The more I looked at it, I decided it needed more embellishment (Go figure!!!) so it was White Opal Liquid Pearls to the rescue to highlight the bow and jewels on the Adornment pieces! BUT THEN, I thought it needed more embellishment (I know...it's a sickness!!!) so it was Idea-ology Metal Corners to finally finish it off! |
