Stamper's Anonymous Christmas 2020 - Christmas Words Tree Card

Hi everyone! A big thanks for all the comments here, on FB, and on Instagram for my last post...my cup runneth over. Today, I have another card for the Stamper's Anonymous Tim Holtz Christmas 2020 release, this one using lots of sentiments from two stamp sets, Christmastime 3 and Tiny Text Christmas. It was fun to design, but hard to stop...I could have made this tree so much longer with all the words to chose from.

Layout Christmas words from both sets of stamps to form a tree shape in a clean spot. Place a #12 Kraft Tag in stamp platform, rub anti-static pouch over the tag, and place starry snowflakes below tag hole, and close platform to stick stamp in place. Use the tag hole as center of the tree for all the stamping. Stamp snowflakes in Picket Fence (stamp twice for more brightness as well as all stamping after this) and heat emboss with clear powder. Next stamp 'christmas wishes' from Tiny Text in Twisted Citron Oxide, and heat emboss in clear. Use a fine paintbrush to brush away any powder not where it is supposed to be. Next stamp 'Best Wishes for the New Year' from Christmastime in Pine Needles Oxide and clear powder. Next stamp holly leaf and 'holiday wishes' in Twisted Citron and clear powder. Next is 'Season's Greetings' in Pine Needles and clear powder. Next is 'Peace on Earth' in Twisted Citron and clear powder. Next is 'Merry Christmas' from Christmastime as well as the tree stamp using Pine Needles, but this time heat emboss with Green Tinsel. Next is 'in the air there's a feeling of christmas' in Twisted Citron and clear powder. Next 'A Wonderful Christmas' in Pine Needles and clear powder. Then stamp 'December 25' vertically in the center underneath the last part, this time using Walnut Stain Oxide and clear powder. This is the trunk. Finally stamp 'Joy to the World' on the left side of the trunk, and 'Merry Christmas' on the right of the trunk in Twisted Citron and clear powder.
Trim tag to 4.25 x 7.75 inches. NOTE: You'll have to trim some from above the tag hole to make it correct. Trim the top sides of this to make it look like a tag again. Trim a green metallic kraft piece to 4.5 x 8 inches. Trim kraft card base to 4.75 x 8.25. Adhere green paper to card base with two sided tape. Set aside.
Ink edges of tag and card base with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and Mini Ink Blending Tool. Stitch around tag using white thread. Use a brown permanent marker to add lines to thicken trunk. Use a white pen to color in letters of 'Season's Greetings'. Mist a foot of white Crinkle Ribbon with water and wad up. Dry with a heat tool while keeping balled up. Trim 2.5 inches off and add to tag hole in a line. Roll the rest of the ribbon around three fingers, remove, and place in the center of the ribbon in the hole. Tie in knot and pull apart ribbon folds and fluff up. Add two sided tape to the back of the tag and adhere to green metallic paper. Add Pine Needles Distress Crayon to silicon sheet and use a waterbrush to pick the color up and color in leaves of holly. Do the same with Picket Fence, coloring in the open spaces on the mini tree. Use the end of the paintbrush to dip into the Candied Apple paint and add the drops to each berry on the holly. Let dry.
Using the Elf Shoes Stickles, draw lines above and below the darker green sentiments (the Pine Needles colored script from Christmastime)making them graduated in size following the width of the tree shape. Apply Xmas Red Stickles the berries and make some dots on the mini tree. Use the white pen to add tiny dots all over tree for lights, and then apply Stardust Stickles over the dots, as well as to the middle of the snowflakes at the top. Let this all dry completely.

Stamper's Anonymous Christmas 2020 - Alcohol Ink Lift Retro Flakes Cards

Hello everyone! It's an exciting time right now for paper crafters and card makers as Christmas crafting seems to be in full swing everywhere I look. Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous have just released their Christmas stamp sets, and I was so honored to be asked to create samples for the stamps. To say I had fun creating is an understatement...I was positively giddy as I LOVE Christmas!  So I have many projects to show you over the next several weeks that Tim showed on the LIVE yesterday, as well as some not on the LIVE. To start off I have this pair of Alcohol Ink Lift cards using the new Retro Flakes stamp set. Enjoy, and a HUGE thank you for looking and commenting!

On a piece of 5 x 7 regular white Yupo, pounce on Aquamarine, Glacier, Cobalt, and Amethyst Alcohol Inks from a blending tool (I usually do a dime size dot of each color onto the felt). If you blow on the paper while pouncing you will create tiny dots while drying.

Since I knew I would be stamping snowflakes I decided to make bold circles of color. Let a drop of Amethyst fall to create a circle of color. If there is not much movement use a drop of Blending Solution to help move the color. Add drops of Pool as well as the Amethyst until you achieve the look you want.

Arrange Retro Flakes stamps on a stamping platform, and add Yupo and secure with magnets, to lift the ink. Have a piece of Glossy Cardstock ready to go as well as a paper towel. Apply Lift Ink Pad to stamps being liberal with the ink. Close platform and press firmly onto each stamp area, and lift lid. Remove the Yupo and set aside, then add the piece of Glossy inside the platform. Close and press firmly. Lift and remove Glossy. Add Yupo back in place and put the paper towel on top and then close platform pressing firmly again. Lift and remove paper towel. So pretty huh?!! Use paper towel to light rub Yupo in circles until all Lift Ink is removed. Clean stamps before using again. You can repeat this again if you did not get a good enough lift image. Let the Yupo and Glossy air dry a bit.

Cut white card base to 5.5 x 5.5, purple metallic cardstock to 5 3/8 x 5 3/8 (ink edges in Dusty Concord Archival), light blue cardstock to 5 1/8 x 5 1/8. Use two sided tape to secure purple on white card, and then blue on purple. Set aside. Trim Yupo and Glossy to 5 x 5. Using the Christmastime 3 snowflakes, stamp them on the open areas on the Glossy with Mermaid Lagoon Archival. Ink edges as well. Let dry. I did the same on the Yupo, but found that my embossing powder stuck to the snowflakes, so keep that in mind. Next time I will stamp after the embossing on the Yupo.

Add Yupo or Glossy paper to stamping platform, as well as sentiment and two large snowflakes in lower right corner. Close platform to secure stamps. Pounce an anti static bag over the paper (very liberally on the Yupo), and stamp in Mermaid Lagoon or whatever color ink. Remove paper and pour on Silver Embossing Powder over a scrap paper, and shake off. The Glossy paper does well, but the Yupo might have embossing powder where you don't want it so use a paintbrush to brush the extra powder away. Heat emboss and then repeat with the other. When heat embossing on Yupo make sure the heat tool is plenty hot, and heat the powder very quickly while the Yupo is on a safe flat surface, working quickly so the paper does not warp as it is plastic. Mount onto blue cardstock to finish.
