Christmas Embossing Tinsel Personalized Name Tags

Yikes, not only have I been away so long, I've been sick and so busy that I am so behind on my Christmas makes. Christmas really seemed to come way too fast this year.  I'm only half way through my Christmas cards, but I have a bunch of stuff to show you this week, so please stay tuned. I decided to start with tags for Christmas presents to check off the list first, and all of these are made with Tim Holtz stamps from Stamper's Anonymous and Ranger Embossing Powders and Oxide Inks.

I tried to match the tags to these cute little bags, so I started with a gold embossed tree from the Tree Line set.
I stamped the plaid in Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink so I could see it on the black tag, and then embossed with Red Embossing Tinsel, after masking off the tree and inside.
I stamped the names in Tall Text using Picket Fence Distress Ink and Snowflake Embossing Tinsel. Green Embossing Tinsel was using on the green tags.
It was the Great Outdoors and Into the Woods for these tags, along with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and Silver Embossing Tinsel.
To make the tag below, more of the same with the addition of Twisted Citron Oxide Ink and Lime Green and White Embossing Powder.
It was not too hard to emboss on top of other embossing, but I had to make sure not to put too much heat on the powders so it wouldn't spread too much.

Autumn Leaves Thankful Cards

Hello everyone! I'm such a bad blogger I know! I have a bunch of projects ready and in the works, but I have had the hardest time sitting down to blog them...I'm so lazy! Actually, as Autumn is my favorite time of the year, whenever I am not crafting I am outside doing yard work and enjoying the weather. Anyway, today  I have a dozen Thankful Cards (extra gaudy and glitzy in gorgeous Autumn tones) that I am sending out for Thanksgiving to the many people that make a difference in my life in.  Thank you notes and cards are a rare thing these days with email so easy to do, so I always love to see them and of course to receive them, and I really need to work on sending them more often. Yikes! I wish I could send one out to all of you who support me and stop by, but please know I am so thankful to all of you.
I had 12 of these ATC sized bingo cards in my stash for a decade probably, and finally decided to use them up. I don't remember what line of product they came from, sorry. I covered them with Distress Crazing Collage Medium from Tim Holtz and Ranger, and inked them over with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink after they dried.
Tim's new Abandoned Paper Stash had so many fabulous designs that screamed Autumn to me, so I picked three of them to die cut Tim's Tattered Leaves Bigz Die and Fall Foliage Thinlits from Sizzix, 48 in total.
Using Tim's Pressed Foliage Stamp Set from Stamper's Anonymous, I stamped the leaves on the die cut leaves that were similar in shape and size using Ground Espresso Archival Ink. I just wanted the images to add to the textured look of the leaves, so I didn't mind that they did not perfectly coordinate. I inked the edges of the leaves and folded them down the middle and inked the fold as well. I totally fell in LOVE with these, and I know it is because of the designs and colors on the Abandoned paper.
Using the Metallic Cardstock, I die cut even more leaves (48), this time from the Skeleton Leaves Thinlits...another love! The Metallic Cardstock makes these even more beautiful to look at.
I applied Antique Linen Distress Paint to random portions of Distress Woodgrain Cardstock for a resist. Then I inked over the cardstock with Peacock Feathers and Orange Marmalade Distress Oxides. I misted them with water and wiped off the ink from the painted areas, and I got a nice barnwood look to the cardstock.
I die cut the Woodgrain pieces with Tim's Planks Bigz Die, and then inked the edges with Vintage Photo Archival. I also swiped the Vintage Photo on top of the planks directly from the pad to highlight the woodgrain.
I needed the word 'thankful' (in Rose Gold Metallic), so I used two of Tim's Handwritten Thinlits, the Love and Celebrate, to create it. The 'thank' from 'thanks' and the 'ful' from 'beautiful', and I just adhered them together. I added the words on the planks. I had a few sheets of this gorgeous leaf paper called Autumn Splendor from Simple Stories, so I used it as my background and mounted it a few times on colored and Metallic Cardstock for the base of the cards. You don't see the background a lot but I know this gorgeous paper is there...lol!
I colored the Star Adornments with Rose Gold Alcohol Ink Mixative, and added these to the centers of the bingo cards. I also had a ton of metallic leaf sequins in the stash so I added several of those to the cards as well. Then I found 12 of these vintage sequined leaves that I purchased from Tinsel Trading when it was in NYC years ago, and decided to go extra gaudy using them...the more the better I say!!! Then it was all just assembly line style to adhere all the leaves and parts to the card bases.
