Hello and welcome to the third Monday in November...which means it's time for a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge Blog. Thanks for all the lovely comments from last weeks Guest Designer piece, Thankful Manor. I appreciate it and am so thankful for you!

This weeks challenge is "Trio-tastic: Use Three of Something".  You can do absolutely so much with this theme, and I look forward to seeing what you use. I decided to do a few 'three of something(s)'! I have three French Hens...I mean Cardinals, three candy canes, and Santa caps, and I have used only three colors...black, white, and red. Sorry if the 12 Days of Christmas is now playing in your head!
I die cut the Tim Sizzix Crazy Birds with Watercolor Cardstock, after stamping them with Black Soot Archival from Tim and Ranger. I die cut the Birch Trees and Tree Line with Wood Grain Cardstock.
I tore pieces of watercolor cardstock and covered them and all the trees with Grit Paste and then Distress Glitter, and let them dry. I prepared my card base with layers of matting.
I used the Planks Texture Fade to add lines to the Birch Trees, by swiping Hickory Smoke Archival Ink on the inside of the texture fade.
I inked the edges a little, and also added Grit Paste and Glitter here and there.
I needed the Santa caps to be reversed to look a little better, so I stamped the images on Tim's Tissue Wrap and turned them over as well as the die cuts and adhered the wrap down with Multi Medium. It was perfect.
I colored all the images with Distress Crayons and a Water Brush. Then I layerd the pieces with foam tape. I also added Glitter to the caps, and gave the candy canes a Glossy Accents coating.
I stamped the Crinkle Ribbon with Wendy Vecchi's Simply Stripes Background Stamp and here Red Geranium Ink, and then misted it with water to crinkle it.  The sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you play along with this fun challenge. Remember, you might just be the one who wins a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!!! Good luck, and I look forward to seeing all the entries, and once again,  thanks for coming by!

12 Tags of 2016 Remix - November

Hello everyone! Today, I have my November tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2016, Remix. I just had to do a turkey tag, and I came up with this slightly off version combining the May 2013 (see mine here), and the November 2015 (see mine here) tags. Hope I don't offend anyone...lol! I love using stamps in different ways, and I LOVED the remix!
I stamped the Stamper's Anonymous Blue Print leaf Tim used, although the mini version, several times on Ranger Watercolor Cardstock and Black Soot Archival, and cut them out, as well as die cut the Crazy Bird.
I used the Life Quotes Remnant Rubs for the technique...the words were perfect when thinking what the 'turkey' would say. I even rubbed on '24' and 'Thursday' keeping Thanksgiving in mind.
I misted the tag with the Stains, the Crinkle Ribbon, and the leaves as well. I also misted Mica Spray on all these but the ribbon for a little extra sparkle. The bird was colored with Distress Markers.

Here's wishing you American peeps a very wonderful and love filled Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you, and will be saying so as each of us at my table go around and mention who and what we are thankful for. Cheers!
