Organizing With Idea-ology!

You've heard me say it before...I'M A CRAFT HOARDER!!! But, I am an ORGANIZED craft hoarder!!! And, I LOVE it when there are new craft storage goodies on the market, and Tim Holtz has some great new ones through his Idea-ology line...The Industrial Storage Cart and the Supply Spinner!
The Supply Spinner comes ready to go and ready to be filled up! The Storage Cart needs putting together, but it's super easy.  It took me all of 11 minutes to screw everything in with the Allen Wrench it comes with. It also comes with a Fixed Wrench to secure the wheels, which also have locking twists on two of the wheels, which is great for traveling.
Speaking of traveling...I plan to take my storage cart on the road with me to hold all my demo loot. Not only do my seven drawers need to be secure while I'm on the go (Just like the locking wheels.), I am also a freakishly strong woman, and have the tendency to really pull on thing...like drawers. So I came up with a way to secure my drawers from coming out of the cart when I slam on the brakes, and when I use my muscles to open the drawers! Here's a new use for Tim's Elastic Bands!!!

I affixed a band to the end (About three inches away from the back.) of each drawer around the bars they slide into. The drawers still open smooth as butter, but now cannot come off the bars and onto the floor!!! The pack of Elastic Bands has 15 in them, and you only need 14. Will all of you need them? NO! But if you travel a lot and are really strong and man handle things, then this is a good solution for you! Plus, it doesn't look bad at all.
Of course I had to label the seven drawers! I used Tag Labels and Long Fasteners and added them to each drawer. It looks fabulous! The possibilities are endless for making the cart all yours!
The Supply Spinner fits great on top, and anything would really, as the top is about 16x16 Inches. The whole cart stands about 34 inches tall with the wheels on, and it's super strong and sturdy, and not wobbly at all. I LOVE it, and can't wait to fill it up with supplies!
In case you are wondering, the drawers are big enough to hold 12x12 paper stacks, and are three inches deep, so you can get a lot of loot in all seven of them!

Now I'm off to reorganize my crafty cave, as you saw from the photos that it needs it...don't judge!!! Have a happy day!!!

Cupid's Pimped Out Ride

Happy February everyone! Boy oh boy does the time pass fast! Today, I have a Valentine card for you that I originally made for the Ranger Booth at CHA, using the Old Jalopy Tim Holtz  Sizzix Die that is now discontinued, so hoard yours if you have it.  It's loaded with Ranger Stickles and lots of Idea-ology!
Using Tim's Core'dinations Cardstock, I die cut the Jalopy in red, black, and silver foil for layering.
Using a black cardstock card base, I die cut the heart border along the bottom. Excuse the turquoise cardstock, at the last minute I changed it out for a pink tone.
I glued all the Jalopy pieces in place, and then added a label and number 14 from Remnant Rubs.
Then came lots and lots of Stickles, in every red family tone I had, plus platinum and silver. Then I punched out lots of hearts and added Stickles to them as well.I also pounced Mushroom Alcohol Ink onto pieces of Shrink Plastic for the windows, and used Glossy Accents to attach it, and Crackle Accents on the headlights too.
I embossed the background card (now pink) with a Texture Fade, and inked over the raised portions with various Distress Inks. After all the Stickles were dry, I embellished the Jalopy with some metal pieces. I also stitched the background card along the border, and added a sentiment with Remnant Rubs.

I'm off to make more Valentine goods! It's another one of my favorite times to make cards and crafts...you know all that red!!! Until next time!
