Tag Team Tag

While at a retreat a few months ago, my dear friend and owner of The Crafty Scrapper, Carolyn Ross, and I, decided we wanted to do a tag team tag! What's that you ask? That's when you do a technique on a tag as long as you have it, and then shout out 'switch' every few minutes, and then the other crafter takes it and does their bit on it. You continue to switch, not knowing where it's going or what it will look like, and not having any idea what comes next!!! It's crazy fun, and the ideas you get from one another are INSPIRING to say the least!!! We laughed so hard and had the greatest night of crafting! With that, this is what we ended up with, and our only rule was to use a lot of Wendy Vecchi goodness and Dina Wakley's Scribbly Birds! And, since this tag has a flower on it, I got Carolyn's permission to enter it into Wendy's Make Art Challenge for May, which is to use flowers.  We loved the tag so much, we made 12 of them and gave them to all the ladies at the retreat as gifts!  If you have an artsy buddy to craft and hang out with, I wholeheartedly suggest you try this! It's truly a blast! I seriously wish we had a video camera rolling while we created the first one...it was crazy!
Let's see...Carolyn did the bird, embossing, and all the fussy cutting...you know I hate to fussy cut! I did the background, the sentiment, the flower and leaves coloring, and the heart doodling. She definitely had the hardest parts!
We watercolored, we embossed, we stenciled, we stamped, we doodled, we inked, we cut, we glued, we used alcohol...(No drinking was involved in the making of this tag!), we used embossing paste, Distress Markers, Glossy Accents, Distress Reinkers, pens...the whole crafty kitchen sink went into these tags! I'm laughing now just thinking about it!
I think it took us about two hours to do the first one! BAHAHAHAHA!!! Then the rest of the night to do the rest!
