Sleeping Birdy Plus CC 101 Days 2 - 5

The sun is coming up, but this poor little guy is so tired and is sleeping in, which allows some other early bird to get the worm.  Oh well....there is always free seed in a bird feeder at some nice Grandma's house.
I made this tag while involved in Tim's Creative Chemistry 101 last week (you can still join in the fun), and I thought it was perfect for Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper challenge of "birds".

Creative Chemistry Days 2 - 5: (day 1 was preview) I did a medium sized tag that is my technique, and a larger one that is finished out but in a basic way, except for Mr. E. Bunny.

A Man's Home Is His Castle

Or Bunnies...which ever the case may be!!! Even Mr. E. Bunny needs a posh pad, complete with crown molding, baseboards, Italian numeral tile, a Tiffany chandelier, plush Persian rugs, priceless antiques, and of course a masterpiece painted by Leonardo di Bunny himself! It's hard work being the Easter Bunny, so the finer comforts of home life make the job a little less cumbersome.
I used Tim's Custom Stamp Pad Technique to stamp the trio, but it took me twice to get it right as you can see. The blue guy had his monocle filled with Glossy Accents. I stamped the frame in Archival Sepia and filled it in with Crackle Accents. Then I colored the background with Milled Lavender Distress Marker, and added a tiny flourish stamped image in Pumice Stone.  I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Archival Ink.
I used Tim's Wrinkle Free Distress Technique for the background. I love revisiting the classic technique over and over again.
I stamped the swirled pollen image in Shabby Shutters.
I stamped the quarter circle design in Pesto then colored it in with Peeled Paint.
I covered the rug up with paper for protection and then stamped the checker board design in Walnut Stain. I had left over scrap pieces from the Vintage Lace die, so I painted it with Snow Cap Dabber and used it for the wood trim. I cut the table free hand out of Kraft Core scrap. I stamped the chandelier in StazOn Silver first then in Archival Sepia for added depth. It received a heavy coat of Glossy Accents. The tag border was inked in Walnut Stain. The rabbit was stamped in Archival Jet Black and then I colored him in with Distress Markers. I forgot to get pictures of this...I was so into this tag!
The Philosophy Tag and jump rings were painted in Citrus Dabber. I added all the metal embellies, and filled in the Charm with a tiny clock from Tim's Lost and Found Stack, along with Glossy Accents.

I am submitting this tag to the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge of "tags", and the Blogger's Challenge of "Easter".
