12 Tags of 2015 - May

Don't be shocked!!! I finished my May tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2015, way way early!!! Why? Because I was so in LOVE with his! I loved all the different techniques, all the layers, the stitching, the flowers, and all the embellishments! He just kept going and adding, and as you know, that is right up my alley. The more the merrier I say...and I just LOVE this tag, and had the best time making it while on the road last week.
I followed all of Tim's directions, with the a few differences shown below.
Dirty stencil I know, but that's how I roll! I LOVE this new stencil, and thought it perfect for the polka dots in the ladies shirt.
I inked the dots with Ranger's Festive Berries Distress Ink, and outlined and smudged in with Gathered Twigs Distress Marker.
Black Soot made the perfect silvery charcoal gray colored ribbon.
LOVE the new Mini Tattered Florals, and love them using newsprint. Although, they are not very sturdy with the newsprint, and got crushed on the trip home, but they fluffed up pretty good.

I love all the entries so far, and can't wait to see more! This is my new favorite tag of Tim's...;0)!!!

12 Tags of 2015 - April

Howdy there crafters! Nothing like the last minute to post my tag for Tim's April tag for 12 Tags of 2015!  I've been on the road solid for three weeks to teach, watch baseball tournaments, and golf tournaments. I think I've been home a total of four days after Easter...yikes...oh the laundry that is waiting for me!!! Anyway, I've found time to craft in the car and in hotel rooms, and managed to snag a sewing machine to finish my tag!
I knew I wanted a red flower...of course...so I used the chrysanthemum stamp and took inspiration for coloring it from this picture on the internet.
I inked a Ranger #10 Manila tag with Aged Mahogany completely covering it. I LOVE how juicy the Mini Distress Inks are. LOVE!!!
Then I misted the tag with Tim's new Distress Sprayer only pressing the trigger slightly to get awesome droplets of water! LOVE this new tool!
Then came all the die cutting, and I added the Mini Heart from the Tiny Shapes set! So cute!!!
I used the new Fossilized Amber Distress Marker for part of the background...awesome butterscotchy color!!!
I added Gumdrops, but colored them with Mushroom Alcohol Ink first. I also stamped on the Crinkle Ribbon after coloring it using the same flower stamp.

Phew...just in time! And...I have loved looking at everyone's April tag too. Fabulous inspiration abounds!!!
