A Green Wish!?!

March always means green to me, I guess because of St.Patrick's Day and the start of Spring. So I was happy to create "green green" tags for a swap with the Ranger Ink Link Yahoo Group. So with a lot of green colored Ranger products and some repurposed items this is the tag I made.
I am also submitting this tag to Linda Ledbetter's Grungy Monday challenge of using Tim's technique of paint resist from the 12 Tags of Christmas 2007 Tag 2, as well as Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper challenge of "diamonds", and Inspiration Emporium's monthly challenge of "going green".
I stamped the butterfly images using Peeled Paint Crackle Paint, because I didn't have any other green paint. I wasn't sure if this would work, but you don't know if you don't try. I allowed it to dry for about 5 minutes then poured UTEE on and heat embossed. It's not super crisp but It still worked.
I wasn't sure if the green inks would show up on the green Prima packaging, but it did even if it was subtly in some spots. I misted with a color wash in some of those spots. It was a nice look.

I stamped the Papillion background onto the tag in Peeled Paint, then wiped off the butterflies with a damp paper towel.
I used plastic packaging from a die to die cut the On the Edge Butterflight. I ran Peeled Paint Distress Stain over it and rubbed it in with my fingers. It was very faint but helped to be seen a little better on the tag. I curled the wings and used the tiny attacher to adhere it to the tag.
I heat embossed the sentiment with Pine Needles Ink and Peeled Paint Distress Embossing Powder.
I misted the sentiment with Meadow Color Wash then Perfect Pearls Mist for some added sheen.
I have many old necklaces from past celebrations, so I clipped off the shamrocks, gave them a little crackle paint then stickles. They are so cute. Rhinestones (the diamonds), a button,k and some ribbon completed the tag.

15 and Ready To Drive

Before I get going, I just want to say thank you all for following me and taking the time to make all of those wonderful comments! I have reached 100 followers!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it! I am in awe that people would even care about what I create, and that all of you are so talented and would even care to look. Thank you from the bottom to the top of my heart!
My first born has turned 15...oh my word, I don't like it! I miss those tiny baby feet, those sweet cooing sounds, the smell of baby lotion on his soft, sweet head. Oh the way he would rub my cheek when I fed him. Sigh! But alas, he is growing up, and is very eager to drive. A permit is now seen in his wallet, and every day he asks to be my chauffeur...I like that part! Here is the card I made for my 'Sonshine'.
Isn't this stamp set perfect for a beginning driver??? This is the background of the card. I also altered the date from 1779 to 1997...perfect that is worked that way! I was so excited to give him this card, and he just loved it and gave me a huge hug! I am sure he will treasure it always!

Supplies:
Uchida Marvy: red pigmented marker
