Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny Wooden Dolls

Hello All! I'm so sorry it's been over a month since I've been here. I've had bad back problems, caused from locked up hip flexors, and it's been stand up or lay down for almost three weeks. So after a course of steroids and physical therapy, I'm sort of back to normal, and even revamped the crafty cave...that took six days. Anyway, I didn't think I'd be able to sit and do Easter crafts, but after pushing through, I've made a few things. Today, I present Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny, made of all sorts of wooden pieces from my stash. I had the absolute best time making these!!! Enjoy! I'll be back soon with Easter cards.
After sorting through tons of wooden pieces to see how they could all fit together, I settled on these. The ears are connected to the head with screw eyes, as are the arms to the body.
I painted all the pieces (except the body) with Picket Fence Distress Paint from Tim and Ranger, and the body with Brushed Corduroy. I cut a piece of Tim's new Wallpaper (LOVE this stuff!) to fit the base, and inked it up.
I added ribbon to finish off their outfits, and drew on their faces. Everything was given a good inking with Wendy's Tree Branch Archival. I inked the basket too, and added the craft store bought eggs. I sprayed and inked the Crinkle Ribbon and tied it onto the baskets with raffia. The carrots are made from a triangular metal bead and tassel charm, both altered with paint and Distress Spray Stain. Then I added the inked Alpha Dice.
Yes they have tails!!!
I had this three tiered tray for along time filled with art supplies, and decided to jump on the bandwagon decorating it for seems to be a huge craze. It was a lot of fun, and I painted the birds, bunnies, eggs, and jar, and threw it all together with garland, grass, and straw carrots. I think I'll do this for all big much fun!
Enjoy your Easter week everyone, and I'll be back soonish!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

If I may be so bold, check out the website if you want to know how to heal your hip flexors. Hundreds of thousands have transformed their lives that were filled with pain without prescriptions, including myself. They have a FB page. You can see for yourself. She has a book too that is quite thorough and informative in understanding and caring for our bodies. Just an FYI. Best of luck.
