CC3C - Distress Photo Tinting

Happy Saturday crafty folks! Can you believe Autumn has arrived and September is coming to a close? Time does fly, and it's time for the twelfth challenge in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! I know I always mention this, but The Curiosity Crew and I absolutely are floored at all the entries from these challenge!!! You all blew us away! Thank you for joining in on all the fun!  I really wish each of you could win! AND...thank you for all of the comments. You all make me feel so loved and keep me going!
Challenge number twelve is all about Distress Photo Tinting! This is an all time favorite for me and I cannot wait to see your photos! I hope you can play along on this challenge so you can win some amazing fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor, The Funkie Junkie Boutique!!! Thank you sponsors for your generosity! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can carefully read all the rules here. PLEASE make sure you read all the rules so that your project is eligible to win...it's so important. AND, please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some gorgeous layered inspiration, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
Not only is this one of my favorite techniques, but a few weeks ago I was so impressed by one of you and a technique I saw, and have seen for about a year, so I tried my hand at it on this Halloween tag too! I am in love with the results, and am hooked! Thank you Lynn Kopas, my fellow Ranger U pal, for the inspiration and push to try it!!! I am always inspired by all of you and love visiting your blogs!!!
I used all kinds of goodies from my stash, even an Idea-ology Fractured Doll. A little Gesso first, and then color. I love the way you can see every detail and crack after using Ranger's Color Wash.
I added the Stamper's Anonymous Witch's hat to the photo as per Tim's directions for the technique!
I LOVE her green face!

Again, many thanks for all the comments, emails, and entries! We are so grateful you love the challenges!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

  2. Hello Anita,
She looks rather unafraid amongst the horror that surrounds her,....The Tag certainly has opposing themes; with the vintage photo within a scary scene and the warmth in the palette. Very interesting composition and one that you would least expect to work...nothing rivets the eye more than the combination of Yellow-Green. Great Tag.
    Smiles:)
