Hello crafty peeps!!! I am back to bring you my take on Tim's September tag of the 12 Tags of 2014. Didn't you just love his tag? It was so different for him, and I admire that he is inspired by other people. He always amazes me!
I followed Tim's directions to the tee, only replacing the Stamper's Anonymous stamp with another, the Artful Artifacts set, and the Sizzix die with Upon A Time. Why did I go with a plethora of numbers rolling around in the head??? Because I just finished my taxes for the year, and I definitely have numbers on the brain...UGH!!!! Not fun, but the Art sure is!!! Thanks Tim!
Also, Tim's technique gave me the idea to do some paint chips with Alcohol Inks. I'll use these to back photos in my scrapbooking, journaling, or even just for reference. Have I said before how much I LOVE Alcohol Ink?!!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

I absolutely love your take on Tim's tag and I love that you used numbers, they look amazing! I love it too when Tim challenges us to use things that might otherwise be overlooked..... like my alcohol inks... Anne x
ReplyDeleteHow cool !!! That's an outstanding take on Tim's tag. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteI like the numbers...so fun!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is a very groovy tag! It's definitely duplicated after tax time and you've nailed it. Every little element from the numbers to the sentiments to that perplexed and potentially disgruntled expression is perfection! I hadn't seen Tim's tag until this post, but man o' man...did you ever do a bang up job on this. I love the complexity and vibrancy of all your elements. Let's just hope that Uncle Sam appreciates all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Lisa x
Such a great tag...the bright coloured numbers look great on it Anita.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, Alie
Love your spin on this! It's always great to see David get some ink time, and those funky numbers in his hair are fabulous. Love the numbers peeking through, too!
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thought those were falling leaves...then I realized they were numbers and I thought "how brilliant!" Such a gorgeous tag, Anita! I love how it pops off the black background, and I really like that orange gem! It's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super take on Tim's tag! I almost used the same face but then was having trouble with his hair. Love the tie in to your current activities!
ReplyDeleteYuck! I hate crunching numbers! Hope you get money back for all your effort! I love your take on his tag. It can be interpreted in SO many ways. I still need to make mine. Off to my desk to see what I can do with this months tag.
ReplyDeleteYour take is fabulous Anita! The number theme is very clever. The colors even make me think of accounting - green for positive and rad for negative. Much more fun than doing taxes.
ReplyDeleteReally nice!! I love the effect of the colors on the black and white. The guy looks like he's been crunching numbers all day too! Lol...
ReplyDeleteI love it all. Great idea for the alcohol ink swatch, I will try that too.
ReplyDeleteHello Anita,

ReplyDeleteI love your Sept Tim Tag, Anita :) GOOD IDEA with your alcohol ink swatches!!! I'm skipping Tim's tag for Sept, so I'm living creatively through you :) I just don't have light enough colors of alcohol ink to get the resist to work :( I've got some songs in my head with numbers in them now...Thanks, Anita :) XOXO-Shari T.
