Design Tape Striped Easter Egg Cards

I'm back again this week to show you the Easter cards I made to send out this year. Before I get to that, I just want to say thanks for all the comments and likes on my Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny post...you all make me happy, and I'm so grateful! I had a few questions on when my new stamps will be out...SOON! I think April through June are shipping out this week, and when I get them in my hands I will be making samples. Thanks for asking, and I'm so sorry the April set is running behind. Now on to the cards. I just love all the Idea-ology Design Tape sets from Tim Holtz, and I had to start using them up, so I decided to use a bunch of them to decorate eggs for my cards. I made several, and each one is unique and paired with different Paper Dolls, and I chose some of my favorite ones to show you. Enjoy!
I compressed my photos to save some space and to load easier on the blog, but doing that made them a little blurry...sorry.
I free hand cut egg shapes from Kraft Cardstock, and then stamped Wendy Vecchi's Spatter Background Stamp from Stamper's Anonymous onto each using Walnut Stain Distress Ink from Tim and Ranger.
I still have a few pads of Kraft Resist Seasonal Paper Stash (LOVE it!), and used the individual Easter cards as ephemera along with pieces from Botanical Layers and Paper Dolls, and laid out everything. Choosing which Paper Dolls to use was hard, as there are so many.
I used sheets from the Memoranda Paper Stash, and cut them to fit the base of my 6x6 inch card which is on Kraft, and inked all the edges.
I striped the eggs with four different tapes, and made sure to use a glitter one for some sparkle, then I adhered everything on to the card.
I added some color to parts of the Paper Dolls with Distress Markers, and then gave the cards more sparkle with Platinum Stickles. I computer generated the sentiments, and then decided they are needed little hearts, so I made them with Blush Liquid Pearls.

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish each of you the most blessed Easter!
