Wendy Vecchi Crazy Colorful Birthday Bash Card

A small screech of the Christmas brakes (insert noise) for a quick, easy, and colorful birthday card, using the Wendy Vecchi Birthday Bash Stamp, Stencil and Die Set from Ranger, along with a few other Wendy goodies.

I taped off every other stripe on the Repeating Quilt stencil from Stamper's Anonymous. Then I inked in a stripe of Garden Patina, then a stripe of Cactus Flower, repeating the process until all were inked.

I removed the tape and then added it back on going the other way. I inked it the stripes with Tiger Lily and Prickly Pear this time.

Using the small star from the Birthday Bash stamp set, I stamped the stars following a pattern using all four of the same color of inks.

I laid the Lots of Dots Stencil over the card and inked in using Jet Black Archival. I misted the card with Pearl Mica Spray. I trimmed the card to fit on a black cardstock mat and then onto the landscape card, 3.5 x 5.25, and inked the edges in Potting Soil before mounting.

Using the cake layers part of the stencil, I inked the same four colors with a detail blending tool, alternating them on a 1 x 5.25 strip of cardstock. I lightly misted with Pearl Mica Spray, and then I mounted this on black cardstock and then adhered this to the bottom part of the card. I stamped the sentiment on the left side of the strip in Jet Black.

I die cut the Tim Holtz Sizzix oval from Perfect Cardstock, and inked over it with Garden Patina. I used a black pen to draw the rim. I adhered this to the right side of the card on the strip. I stamped and cut out the cake. I used the matching stencil to ink in the cake and stamped the cake texture on. I stamped and cut out the star and inked it. Then I adhered the cake and star on the plate. I used Enamel Accents to color in the star and added the decorative frosting.
