12 Tags of 2016 Remix - December

WOW...it's the last Tim tag of the year. I can't believe how it's flown by. Here is my December take on Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Remix, a mash up of May, 2014 (see mine here but so not a fav) and December, 2015 (mine here and a fav). I have thoroughly enjoy the whole remix and revisiting of techniques and ideas. Thank you Tim and all the participants for the inspiration and fun! I know it must take a mound of time from your days Tim, but we all appreciate you so.
I used the Holly Bough Layering Stencil to mist in Tumbled Glass Spray Stain, then I added Cranberry Stickles from Ranger for the berries.
I embossed the word with a combination of Wendy Vecchi's Sky Blue Powder and Ranger's Antiquities in Cobalt. I did it twice to get it really deep.
After using ephemera I've wanted to use for a while...love this technique Tim...I embellished and added more Stickles. But guess what?!!...I forgot to sew around the tag. I was so looking forward to that. So I decided to go with a little Grit Paste around the edges to look like snow. At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me.

Thanks for stopping by, and for all the love! I'll be back again soon with some stuff I've made for people for Christmas. Until then, happy Christmas parties with ugly sweaters!!!

12 Tags of 2016 Remix - November

Hello everyone! Today, I have my November tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2016, Remix. I just had to do a turkey tag, and I came up with this slightly off version combining the May 2013 (see mine here), and the November 2015 (see mine here) tags. Hope I don't offend anyone...lol! I love using stamps in different ways, and I LOVED the remix!
I stamped the Stamper's Anonymous Blue Print leaf Tim used, although the mini version, several times on Ranger Watercolor Cardstock and Black Soot Archival, and cut them out, as well as die cut the Crazy Bird.
I used the Life Quotes Remnant Rubs for the technique...the words were perfect when thinking what the 'turkey' would say. I even rubbed on '24' and 'Thursday' keeping Thanksgiving in mind.
I misted the tag with the Stains, the Crinkle Ribbon, and the leaves as well. I also misted Mica Spray on all these but the ribbon for a little extra sparkle. The bird was colored with Distress Markers.

Here's wishing you American peeps a very wonderful and love filled Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you, and will be saying so as each of us at my table go around and mention who and what we are thankful for. Cheers!
