Layered Stamping Valentine's Day Cards

Hello again this week! I finally finished my Valentines...it took awhile as I made a whopping 14 to send out. It didn't help as this layered stamping took longer than I thought, but there is no way I could have finished or achieved what I wanted without Tim's Stamping Platform from Tonic...just no way. I don't know how I ever crafted without one. And, I just had to use his new Theories Stamp Set, as well as Wendy's new Heartfelt Art Set from Stamper's Anonymous...I love them both so much. And speaking of love, I just love that you stopped by today, and I wish each and everyone of you the most wonderful and love filled Valentine's Day! I am truly so thankful for all of you.
I also used the Crazy Dogs and Cats since I had to make so many, and they make me so happy.
I had tons of chipboard letters in my stash, and I painted those first with Picket Fence Distress Paint. I cut Ranger's Specialty Stamping Paper to size, and then misted those and the letters with Red Geranium and Tree Branch Archival Reinkers mixed with rubbing alcohol, just layering each on. I inked the edges of everything with Tree Branch Archival.
Instead of using the magnets for holding the paper in place, I used them as spacers so the stamping would fit just right, and when the paper was in place, the stamping was still perfect. To make the background, I stamped the hearts on the right side first, since I have only one set.
Here is where things got time consuming...but worth it. I had to layer on the letters after each background stamping in exactly the place they needed to be, and then stamp the same image on them, for the layered 3D stamping look.
Once the ink dried on the letters and the background, I would repeat the process of removing the letters, stamping more background, and restamping on the letters again. I just made an assembly line, carefully moving the matching letters and cards, until the next part.
For the focal point images, it was the same thing...stamping on the card, adding the letters, and stamping on them too. Once everything dried, I finally adhered the letters on in place, and then adhered the card to more cardstock and finally the card base. I am very happy with the way they turned out, and though while time consuming, they are really very simplistic.

New Holiday Collection Stamps - March

Hello all! Thanks so much for all the comments on my posts lately...so happy here and feeling blessed. Mardi Gras is in full swing in so many places across the world, before Easter, and since I added Mardi Gras images to my March set of Holiday Collection Stamps from WeCraft, I figured I better show them now rather than next month, so you are getting the St. Patrick's Day samples too. This was a super popular set and sold out so fast, (Still pinching myself!) probably due to the Mardi Gras images. I hope you enjoy!
