CC3C - Effect Powders

Yippee! It's almost Autumn here, and that's my favorite part of the year! I can't wait for cooler weather and changing foliage colors! Sorry to go off, but the time is close! It's also time for another challenge in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! Again, big rounds of applause to all the entrants and for all the comments!  The Curiosity Crew and I are always so pleased and inspired as well! Please keep those projects coming so you have a chance to win some amazing loot.
This new challenge, number eleven Effect Powders, will be one where there is so much to see and be inspired by from all of you. I am looking forward to all the entries. Please play along so you can win some fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor, Inspiration Emporium!!! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can read all the rules here. Please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some beautiful and cool powdery goodness, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
I thought it was high time I make a tag, and since Autumn is right around the corner, I went with an industrial type feel of a tag with a tree loaded with colorful Effect Powdered leaves. I wish the photos did this tag justice...it's much more vibrant and loaded with texture than these pictures show.
I used a few Texture Fades and a Shadow Press Debossing Folder on a piece of Ranger's Foil Cardstock....I LOVE that stuff!!!
I pounced and dripped various colors of Alcohol Ink on the top and bottom of the Foil Cardstock to mimic the look of Autumn foliage.
I also added brown and green tones to the tree trunk areas. I think I like Alcohol Ink better than any other kind of colorant!
I went over the debossed areas of the words 'here & now' with a Black Soot Distress Marker.
I edged the cardstock with Black Soot Distress Paint, and attached it to a #10 Black Surface tag with long fasteners and washers.
I used all the colors Tim used for his Effect Powders technique plus some more, and then die cut them with the Sizzix Branch Tree Bigz Die and Autumn Gatherings Sizzlet.
I gave the tree some more texture with the new Wood Grain Texture Fade, and then added some gears.
More Alcohol Ink covered the Enameled Tag, and then I added Remnant Rub Words. This was attached to a chain and Hinge Clip.
I added all the leaves and some Linen Ribbon attached with Mini Fasteners.

This is a really fun challenge using a cool technique to alter your art! I hope you join in!
