Wendy Vecchi Rose Tags

Happy October everyone...yikes the year is flying by! Today, I have some new Wendy Vecchi goodness to show you. I've made two tags (Started out as one.) using Wendy's new A Rose Is A Rose Stencil It Stamp It set, and her new stamp set Artful Thoughts, both from Stamper's Anonymous. I've been waiting for these two items to arrive impatiently I might add, and the minute I got them, I started playing, and have made these for some special friends. I used Ranger's Liquid Pearls to help...see my last video to see how else I use it. I hope they like them. Enjoy!
Sorry for the blurry photo. I took a piece of card from a Tim Holtz Idea-ology packaging and began to play. I mixed two green tones of Ranger's Liquid Pearls with some Glossy Accents, and stenciled the leaf portion in with the rose stencil, and then mixed red Liquid Pearls with more Glossy Accents and spread that above the leaf area...I didn't want to wait for the green to dry before stenciling in the red, so I just spread it on willy nilly. The sheen is amazing!
I had this tag left over from another project (Mother's Day Cards), and I mixed Ranger's Opaque Texture Paste with more Liquid Pearls, and stenciled this over the tag with Wendy's new Ferns Stencil.
Before I stamped the rose (Such a gorgeous image!) on the Liquid Pearls card, I stamped it on another tag made from Specialty Stamping Paper to see what inks I would use (I used Library and Red Geranium Archival), and loved it so much that I decided to make another tag with that. Then I stamped the rose on the before mentioned card with the same colors of ink, and cut it out. LOVE the results!!! Since the red Liquid Pearls where the same color as my ink, Red Geranium, I decided to highlight some of the lighter tones of the rose, and I colored over those parts with a white colored pencil. This was a great effect. Then I further highlighted those parts with Glossy Accents. The rose looks dewy wet. I inked in the other rose using the stencil again with Pink Peony and Leaf Green Archival from Wendy, and stamped it a few more times on the tag. Then I inked the rest of the tag in with Peacock Distress Ink, stamped the Script Background image with Garden Patina, and doodled around it and the other with white and black gel pens.
I colored Crinkle Ribbon with more Peacock, this time Distress Stain Spray, and stamped the Script again in Garden Patina over the ribbon.
I added the sentiments from Wendy's Artful Thoughts...all her sentiments on the newly releases stamps are fantastic...and colored in the Butterfly and Leaves from her Mat Minis and adhered those. Then after attaching, matting, and sewing everything, I gave both tags a quick spray with Wendy's Pearl Mica Spray...I'm addicted to all the Mica Sprays!!!

And with that, I'm leaving today for The Croppin' Bug in LaMarque, Texas, to teach four classes. If you will be there, I sincerely thank you! Have a great day!!!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
