Blue Jay Watercolor Card

Spring gorgeousness is everywhere in my town. The trees either are or have bloomed, the birds are back and singing, and everything is green again. I even spotted the blue jays that like to come play in my yard, which reminded me that I have a card that I made for Ranger Ink for CHA this year, that would be perfect to show you at this time of year.
This card is made from Ranger's Watercolor Paper, and Dina Wakley's stamps and Heavy Bodied Paint...but guess what!!!...I used the paint to watercolor.
I stamped the bird and flower where I wanted it on my card, and then again on another piece of Watercolor paper all in Jet Black Archival.
I squirted a little bit of the paint on my craft sheet, and watered it down well, so I could loosely paint in the images with a transparent look, just like watercolor paint. It works WONDERFULLY this way, so don't be afraid to try this paint in this way. I added lots of different colors to the background in the same way...very watery and loose. Once everything was dry, I cut out the extra images and layered them on the card with foam tape. I finished up with the sentiment and some details on the bird with a Fude Ball Pen. Then I added some depth to the eye of the bird and center of the flowers with Glossy Accents, and added this onto a black cardstock card. So easy to do.

That's it for this month...it flew by fast. I'll be back in May! Thanks for all the comments and support. Cyber Hugs!!!
