Red Barn Ranch

If you live in Texas, namely the western part, and are looking for a retreat place to go and craft at with all your buddies, then have I got news for you!!! A new retreat house has opened up in the Lubbock area named Red Barn Ranch.
Just south of Lubbock, it's owned and operated by Trecia, Michelle, and Paige...three friends working together to make this place awesome!
There's room for up to 32 guests to sleep, and even more room for croppers, crafters, sewers, quilters, you name it. Everyone gets a 6 foot table, and electrical outlets are everywhere, even coming from the ceiling.
There is also ample parking, but let's get to the best part...the food. You get three meals a day, and it's all home cooking! I even received made to order eggs for breakfast....NOW THAT'S COOL!!!
The ladies are planning on building on to add more rooms and work space...like it isn't big enough already.  This place would be great for reunions too.
This is where we ate.
I loved this repurposed barn door leading to a super cute bedroom. I even had a screen door for the closet in my room...talk about so cool and country feeling! I should have taken more photos.
Here's the kitchen where all the yummy viddles came from!
Aside from a quilters retreat going on in the other barn, in this barn 15 ladies met to craft away the weekend, and one of them, Jane, contacted me to come teach a class! I feel in love with all of them! They were super welcoming, and I am pretty sure I've converted a few non-inkers to full time inkers! I love it when that happens, and it really makes my job so fulfilling!
They sure brought a lot of loot! I loved all these canning jars filled with embellishments...so cool!
One of the ladies, Maria, was given these wooden blocks for Christmas to use as inking tools! She said they were the best present she received! So fun!!!
Here she is using them to ink on the album I taught.
Maria and Jane, are self confessed Tim Holtz addicts!!! They say they are his biggest fans! Look out Tim!
Here are some of the ladies! Thanks you so much for having me come teach Jean Anne, Becca, Ann, Patty, Michelle, Maria, Jane, Kim, Mel, Linda, Juli, Janet, and Gigi!!! I can't wait to come back!!! I treasure you all!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
