CC3C - Distress Watercoloring Part 2

Hello and happy Saturday! It's time for another challenge, number twenty, in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!!  The Curiosity Crew and I absolutely loved at all the entries from the last challenge...you all really sewed it up nicely!!!  It so inspiring!  Thank you for joining in on all the fun, and of course for all of the comments. We hope your new year is off to a good creative start and hope all of you can participate again and again!
Challenge number twenty is using the Distress Watercoloring Part 2 technique. This is a technique to visit again and again as it's so practical and perfect for cards!  I hope you can play along on this challenge so you can win some amazing fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor, The Funkie Junkie Boutique!!! Thank you sponsors for your generosity! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can carefully read all the rules here. Please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some fun and colorful watercolor inspiration, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought I'd use this technique to make Valentine's, just like I've done ever since I was little. Handmade is best!!!
I stamped the Heart from the Rockstar Stamp Set in Jet Black, and then heat embossed it with Wendy Vecchi's Watering Can Embossing Powder, onto Distress Watercolor Paper...the smooth side.
Next, I stamped the Scrolly Flame thingies (Right?!!) from the same set with Wendy's Geranium Embossing Powder.
After I used Tim's technique for Distress Watercoloring Part 2, I filled in the hearts with Ranger's Crackle Accents.
I wanted some glitz on these artsy Valentines, and I am in LOVE with Ranger's new Foil Sheets, so I knew they would be used for these. I applied Collage Glue Stick to where ever I wanted the foil, and let it sit about 30 seconds to start drying. I laid the Foil Sheet on top of the Glue, Foil side up, and gave it a press, and voila, I had foil where ever the Glue was!!! LOVE this stuff!
I used a Fude Ball Pen to outline the heart a little more, and I added the letters and numbers using the Newsprint Alpha Parts from Idea-ology. Then I stitched the borders of the cards, inked them, and adhered them to Black Cardstock base cards.

I hope you give this technique a try...it will one you visit again and again! Happy Watercoloring!

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
