CC3C - Rock Candy Distress Glitter

It's Saturday and also the last day of the month! It just flew by for me. And now it's time for another challenge in the new Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge!!! Kudos to all the entrants from the last challenge and of course for all the comments!  The Curiosity Crew and I always have our socks knocked off by all the awesome work and we are so inspired as well...every single time!
This new challenge, number twenty-one is using Rock Candy Distress Glitter. I do love glitter, but I don't use it a lot because it's so messy. However, the chunkiness of the Distress Glitter doesn't leave the plume of glitter everywhere and I LOVE that! It's definitely my go to glitter! I am so looking forward to all the sparkly entries for sure. Please play along so you can win some fabulous prizes donated by the ever generous Tim and Mario, and this challenge's sponsor, Inspiration Emporium!!! You will have two weeks to complete this challenge and link it up to the CC3Challenge site, and you can read all the rules here. Please take the time to visit every member of the Curiosity Crew (See below.) for not only some awesome blingy and sparkly goodness, but for a chance to win some extra goodies!
The options are limitless with this technique, but I thought I would use it in the background with those stenciled hearts! Gotta LOVE Valentine's Day! FYI...Each card has different Frameworks and Pediments with matching Texture Fades on them, so that is why there are so many photos below.
I misted four #8 Ranger tags with water, and then added Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany, and Brushed Pewter Distress Paints. Then I misted Black Soot and Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
I used scrap pieces of Silver Cardstock and embossed them with the Sizzix Texture Fades that match the Frameworks dies.
I die cut the textured pieces with the Pediments Die.
I die cut more of the textured pieces with four of the Frameworks Dies.
Hugs and Kisses were die cut using plain black cardstock.
I used Pitch Black Alcohol Ink and Gold Mixative on all of the Silver Cardstock die pieces.
I inked the edges of all the tags with Black Soot Distress Ink, added stamping with the Love Definition and Jet Black Archival, and then added various words from three different Remnant Rubs sets.
I adhered the die cuts, and then stitched around them, and colored some Crinkle Ribbon with Distress Spray Stain. Then I tied the ribbon, added Idea-ology charms and adhered the tag to the misted card bases.

I love this technique. It reminds me of sugared fruit on the table at Grandma's house during Christmas. I love that I can take that same look, and put it on a flat paper surface! Crafting is GOOD!!! Hope you will join along in the fun!
I would love to have you like my Facebook Page too, so you won't miss anything artsy in my world...just click on the link and like! Thanks so much...until next time!
