It's All A Number's Game!

Happy Monday Crafters! It's that time again...a new Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge! Design team member Dan thought, "Why not a challenge about Numbers?" You can challenge yourself to use a specific number of items, use number stamps, stencils or paper with numbers on it. You can create a layout with a top five list or journal your top ten favorite things. You could use a ticket stamp, a color-by-number item with some Copic or Distress markers. The list could go on and on. So keep numbers in mind this week, and come join in our challenge!
I love numbers and always have. Numbers are perfect and make sense to me, and there is only ever one right answer (Even though I often get it wrong!)...no gray areas! Although, I do like gray areas, especially in Art, it's nice to have definitives in life. 1+1 will always be 2...um, right???
I also love games, probably because most involve numbers. Poker, Gin, Rummy, Yahtzee, Dominoes...love them! And although I am horrible at it, I am ashamed to say I am mesmerized by Roulette! I wish I was smart enough to remember all the probability involved to pick the right number and color combination, but the spinning of the wheel is very therapeutic for me anyway. What can I say...I'm a cheap date!
Anyway...off tangent...I've made this box to house the many decks of cards we have because my husband can't bare to have the decks of cards be thrown away at his local men's club after they use them like twice, so he brings them home. So we will be able to store many decks and score pads in this to use in our own card games and it will look fab sitting on the coffee table. I really love how it came out.
El cheapo wooden box from the dollar store.
I crackled it with some spray paints, and got it all ready to be decoupaged on.
Soooo many Stamper's Anonymous stamps...new and soooo old were stamped. A few I had never even used yet if you can believe it. I stamped in three different colors of Archival (Jet Black, Vermillion, Pale Ochre) first onto Specialty Stamping Paper to make two ATC's to fit into the framed holes making a collage of the images. I did this on one side of the box, and on the other I did a smaller collaged image to use as the body for the game ladies seen below.
I stamped all the images onto plain tissue paper in Vermillion and Jet Black. I cut these out and used Glue N Seal to adhere to the box.
Here you can see the smaller image used for the body of the Game Ladies. After I decoupaged the images, I colored them in using Distress Markers and permanent markers. I finished the box by adding lose game pieces to adorn it, making handles and feet as well.

Do you love numbers? Do you collect things with numbers on them? Do you love to create things with numbers?  If so, create your work of Art and enter it into our challenge. You just might be the lucky winner of a $50 voucher to Simon Says Stamp. You can also be named as one of the "Top Three Picks" for this challenge. Good luck, and please visit the other DT member's blogs. There are numerous fabulous projects from this week. No one scored a zero!
