Genuine Art: Specimen B

The present biweekly challenge at the Everything Wendy Vecchi Yahoo Group is based on using "Canvas" from Wendy's Book 4. I decided to use three, and use Tim's new "Summer Colors of Distress Ink" to fulfill the challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show as well.
I misted the ornate Art Part frame with Sailboat Blue Color Wash.
I stamped two Wendy images on the frame in Jet Black Archival.
I added some Adirondack Metallic Mixative Alcohol Ink onto the ornate parts, some torn Steampunk Tim paper, and inked everything in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I inked the canvases with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.
Wendy images were stamped in Manganese Archival Ink.
I flicked water onto the canvases and edged them out in Walnut Stain.
I inked the Gear Art Parts with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, and gave them a dotted stamping in Jet Black.
More Art Parts were inked, this time in the last of the Summer Distress Ink colors, Mowed Lawn, along with a stamped grid pattern.
Wendy's technique of making a "Custom Epoxy Embellishment" was used to make the a part of the title piece ART.

Here it is on my wall.
Supplies:
From My Stash: (3) 2x4 Mini Canvas, snaps, large safety pin

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!

  1. Hi Anita, very inventive use of the canvases and also the gear art parts, they look amazing as flowers. You never cease to amaze me with your genious ideas and this is certainly one of them. Great colour combos and how different they look when applied to art parts too. Love it! Crafty hugs, Anne x

  7. Just beautiful! Love the art part gears as flowers; love how that turns a usually masculine embellishment feminine. All the elements work so well together.
